Safety advice for au pairs and nannies when looking to find childcare jobs online./span>

This is to keep you safe whilst looking for au pair jobs/nanny jobs

NEVER SEND MONEY TO ANYONE for any reason!
DO NOT CONTACT FAMILIES who put their contact details in the text or on their photos – they are scammers (bad people).
NEVER SEND sensitive personal information
(copy of your passport etc)
If a family asks for any of these they might be scammers (internet criminals).

We take your safety seriously – Do you do too? Must read and follow this advice. Naturally your choices and actions are entirely under your control and are your responsibility. Therefore we can only help you by giving you our best advice. It is solely your responsibility to read and follow it!

Phishing warning: if you receive an email that appear to be from New Au Pair, asking to visit a page (not on our website) and enter your email address and password to ‘validate’ your account: DON’T DO THIS ! We never send out such emails to our users.

Families who are not what they seem

All au pair-family matching websites have scammers signing up and pretending to be genuine members. We are constantly monitoring and stopping this activity. Most of the time these profiles will be removed, before you even see them. Occasionally you might come across one before that happens.
Here is what to do:

TO DO: NOT TO DO:
Read fully and follow our advice before start using our site. It is for your benefit.
Only make first contact with members through our website, not directly.
We monitor, block and delete suspicious family profiles. If you see a family with contact details CONTACT US. NEVER contact them.
Use your instincts. Does a family behaves suspiciously or sounds too good? Be careful and find out more about them before you do anything or commit to anything.
99.9% of all the families on this site are genuine, looking for a nanny or an au pair like you. Avoid all profiles with contact details on their profile!
NEVER SEND MONEY to a family, to their “travel agency”, “lawyer”, “border agency”, etc. Genuine families do not use these. If they ask to send money for visas, documents, air fares etc – DO NOT DO IT.
If you see a ‘family’ with a published email, Facebook, WhatsUp etc DO NOT contact them. They are scammers or dishonest and our system will soon delete them from the website. CONTACT US if you see one.
Never react to emails pretending to come from us but directing you to another website to put your details in or ‘validate your account.
Never answer a family if their first email comes directly to you and not through our website. No unregistered visitor can see your details, only our members can.

Almost all the families on this site are genuine, looking for an au pair or nanny like you. Please follow all the safety advice, to have a nice experience.

Worried about a family? You must see their profile on newaupair.com and give us their membership number or we cannot help you. If a family emails you directly, without adding you to their favourites list, ATTENTION! If they say they have deleted their profile for any reason, they are scammers who we have already deleted!
