Dear future family,
I'm Valentina but my family calls me Val

At the moment I am doing workshops in pedagogy, psychology and child education, I am taking an online first aid course and I also have a driver's license, I like to know more about their world and understand them in a professional way to be able to do my job well as an au pair and that my host family is happy with me. I studied economics at the University, and then human rights and I have always focused on defending those most in need.
Since I was 15 years old I was left in the care of my brother with only 5 years old, to help him with his homework and school activities, it was my first experience and it was where I understood that I liked teaching and caring, then I was creating a group with his schoolmates to also help them study for many years and I also played and took care of young children in my school during my last years of school. But my first official job was as a recreationist in children's birthday parties or in big company parties during Christmas or children's days in Colombia, the truth is that I have enough energy to always play and make children smile; I would do play activities, draw, tell stories for the children, plan dances and at the end I always rewarded the children with more games that they liked. Many years later, when I started working professionally, I directed a project with the children of a foundation in Colombia called constructors of peace, where we took smiles whenever we could to far away places in this country to children between 6 months and 12 years old. I always knew I liked children and the connection I have with them makes my work friendly, fun and feel good. I am currently not officially employed, so one of my cousins counts on me to care for her daughters, a 6 year old and an 8 year old, I have been caring for them since December 2023.
