Hello Dear Host Family, I am very happy to write this letter. My name is Maribel Escarley, I am 26 years old, I am from Bolivia and I am currently studying Financial Engineering at the University.
I like to do so many things like cooking, walking, playing basketball, watching movies, traveling, seeing new places, spending time with my family and friends.
I consider myself a responsible, kind, patient, honest and educated person.
I live in Cochabamba. It's a beautiful city; Full of gardens, delicious typical food and friendly people, Cochabamba is considered the Gastronomic City of Bolivia and also known as the Garden City.
I like working with children because they are very affectionate, tender and funny. I have always taken care of my nieces and nephews. During the time that I took care of them I learned a lot.
I also had good experiences taking care of other children outside my family. We got along very well, the families were nice and treated me very well with a lot of respect, for which I am very grateful. I had great moments with them, we played together, I picked them up from school or took them to some kind of after-school activity, taught them to behave well, helped them with homework, bathe, dress, eat, teach how to organize their toys with them, read , write, paint and do crafts. The children's parents allowed me to implement punishments if necessary (we previously agreed on what kind of punishment should be applied with their parents).
I really enjoy spending time with the children. That is why I want to be part of this Au pair program. I will be happy to spend a whole year with a host family, take care of their children and get to know their culture and way of life. In addition, I would also like to have the opportunity to visit tourist places, make new friends, have the opportunity to study and improve my English language skills because it will help me to have better opportunities in my future professional life.
