Hello family! My name is Sara, I am a girl from Florence, I am 19 years old and I would like to work as an au-pair abroad. They are the second of 4 brothers, and life in a large family has strengthened in me patience, empathy and the ability to be with even the youngest children. In Italy I have already had experience working both as a babysitter and as a help homework for some families, taking care of their children between the ages of 1-15 years.
This year in July I finished high school and I
I am a generous, sunny, reliable and precise person and for this I am appreciated by the families with whom I have worked. I like to spend time with my friends (I really have many) and travel with them to discover new cultures. I am a very sporty girl: I have always practiced various sports (from ballet to karate) and being outdoors makes me feel free.
I am part of a large family: we are 4 brothers/sisters. Ester, my older sister is 21 years old and studies psychology in another city and has just returned from a year of work as an au-pair in Dublin, Ireland. Then there are me and immediately after my two brothers: Francesco who is 15 years old and Tommaso 11 years old. In general, we are a family that likes to travel and make new experiences abroad: Denmark, Russia, Austria, France, Germany and for a year we also lived in India for my father's work. Both parents work: Dad is an engineer and my mom is a secretary at a medical practice.
I graduated in June 2021 from a technical institute for health biotechnology.
The first experiences I had was when I was 16, first starting with relatives (brothers, cousins, grandchildren.) and then with family friends or new families known through some babysitting websites. I have always liked to stay around kids and take care of them, at any age (1-15). Moreover, I've always been available and open to help out with homework - mostly elementary and middle school levels.
My native language is Italian. There are several languages that I know on a basic level such as English and Spanish, of which I would like to improve my knowledge. This summer I won a school-related project that consisted of working in Spain in Valencia for a month with fellow students from all over my region and, in this way, I was able to learn Spanish. In addition, I got to improve my English through the various trips abroad with my family.
There are several reasons why I want to become an au-pair: I like to travel, discover new cultures, learn new languages, meet people of different nationalities.. Also, having reached a certain age I would like to have my independence.
During this experience I expect there to be collaboration and flexibility, and clear communication from both sides. At the same time I would like to be my spaces and schedules respected, but I am always open/ available to meet your needs and find a shared solution. I look forward to knowing more about your habits and culture, and in change to share with you mines!
