Dear Host Family
I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Blessmore Mashiri . I am 23 years old and from the small town Norton Zimbabwe.With my parents, Sarah (47) and John (55), and my brother Elson (15), I am living in a house that is located in an area full of nature. We have got many hens and rabbits as well . My father works as a Carpenter at a small firm, my mother is self employed . Luca is currently attending the 11th grade of secondary school. Overally, we are a pretty large family, I have ten cousins.
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I'm always there for them if they need me.
In my free time, I like to listen to music, go shopping or go playing handball. Handball is one of my favorite hobbies and I am also teaching young children at a local School club. Furthermore, I enjoy reading a good book and singing – even though I cannot sing. Every summer, I supervise children at a local handball camp. It is always a lot of fun! Being a huge fan of the English football club Manchester united(maybe you know it?) I am going to the Soccer Centre very often to support and watch the team playing.
At the moment, I work Voluntarily as general hand at a Children's home in harare the Capital of Zimbabwe taking care of the Garden,Providing security feeding the dogs and Sometimes help in cooking for the children.I enjoy this job very much, because I am able to bond with many of the Children . I also work as a trainer of handball at local high School thus also giving me exposure to working with Children.
Four years ago I did a Diploma in Education to teach primary school students. Before the apprenticeship I completed my secondary school.
For the past two and half years , I took care of children of all ages from different families. I became very close to them and I cherish the time I have spent with them. When my brother was younger, I also took care of him, when our mum was working. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can't imagine a life without them.
The reason why I want to work as an au pair is that I want to get to know the way of life as well as different cultures. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great to improve my English skills as well.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
