HI!! I am Alessia, I am almost 19 and I live in Italy. With this program I hope to find another family in a different country!

Dear family,
My name is Alessia Rosset, I am 18 years old and from the small city of Cesiomaggiore in the northside of Italy. With my parents, Yves and Carmen, and my brother Simone, I live in a house in the countryside.
My father works as a carpenter and is a freelance, my mother works as a shop assistant.
Simone is now 14 and he just started his first year in high school studying computer science.
We have got a cat and two dogs, the last one is an akita and we adopted it this June.
After my experience, hopefully, by the end of next year I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree. This year I decided to take some time because I could not decide between studying Business or International Studies.
During these months I also want to live a different experience and mature and decide what I really like and is best for my future.

My first language is Italian, I started learning English when I was 6 and in primary school and I continued studying it till the end of my education. In June of 2020 I achieved a Level B2 in English and even if it is not the highest level, it was the one required by university and I am happy and proud because I prepared it all by myself. In school studied it by a more economical point of view since I graduated this year in tourism management.
In middle school I started learning German and in high school I studied Spanish for three years.
A cultural immersion like an au pair program I think could do a lot of good and I really need a break from my everyday life. I am interested in improving my English and I think that experiencing it in a family may be extremely helpful.
When it comes to childcare experience I have looked after two children, one who is little, and it is four years old and the other is now nine years old. Both experiences were different given the difference in ages and tasks required. With one it was babysitting which included playing while the other was more like tutoring as I helped with homework but it was helpful and I think it gave me experience in how to deal with both mentalities.

In my free time I enjoy simple activities: I like to walk my dogs, I love going out with my friends, I love travelling and reading. I spend my time drawing even if I'm not that good and I love listening to music all day and in the last month I started to knit, and I am planning to knit some pieces for my little cousin. I like to read, and I started reading book in English to improve my writing skill and currently I am reading Pride and Prejudice.

If it is possible, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family, and I hope they can be happy to have me stay with them for at least a couple of months. I would prefer to look after children between 1 year to 10 years old.
I am shy and respectful and when I get to know someone I am really caring.

I would be happy to speak with you: answer your questions that you may have on me or my experiences; I would like to learn more about your family; your interests and what you expect from an au pair.
Thank you very much!
I look forward to hearing from you.
