Dear future host family, hi! my name is Javiera, I am 19 years and I am from Santiago, Chile since I was born; I live with my parents and my younger brother in a commune called Maipú where it is very sunny, quiet and nice, my parents totally support me in everything to fulfill my dreams and when I told them they supported me 100% in my decision. I am currently preparing for the university entrance exam to enter in 2022, I also work doing private lessons in English, Science and Language to primary children through skype (because of the pandemic) as I usually go to their homes to give them lessons, I also have my own brand of peanut butter. I would like them to know a little more about me, starting with my personality I am a very educated, loving, funny, patient, very responsible, proactive, attentive girl among other qualities that I would love them to know. My English level is A1-B1. In my daily routine I'm very structured with my tasks or things I have to do, I love to spend time with my family, pets and friends especially when we plan walks or when we go on holiday, I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, shopping as I'm passionate about fashion, sport and going to places with lots of nature. I think that at my young age I have determined my goals and dreams, and my family and friends consider me a very mature person.

I am very outgoing, I like to do many things, like going on excursions to new places with my family, getting to know new cultures and people, I am also very creative and I like art. We usually do handicrafts or paint with my younger cousins when we have family meetings, I am the oldest cousin of 5 children (all between 3 and 13 years old, one of them has Autism, she is a wonderful girl full of creativity; Thanks to her I have learned many things and she loves to do crafts and paint whenever we see each other, we paint a picture, we make puzzles or we bake a cake or biscuits), I love all my cousins with my life and since I can remember I have taken care of them when my uncles go out to eat or have some commitment. Now I'm preparing for the university entrance exam, and besides working with children I've had other jobs as a promoter, office assistant, drummer and waitress.

I would like to tell you about my experience with children, as it is a very important topic that you should know clearly.
As I said before, since I can remember I have taken care of my little cousins, my uncles hired me on the weekends when I was only 15 years old and they never had any problem, at 16 I started to work with more children that were not in my family (Santiago) was the first child I took care of when I was only 8 months old, as I already had knowledge and experience with babies from my cousins it was not difficult for me to change nappies, prepare bottles, etc.

My mother tongue is Spanish, but since I was a child I have always liked English, especially listening to it. My level of English is A1-B1, and I learn it too fast, I have learned it on my own via apps, youtube, music and at school.

Finally, I would like to end by telling you about my motivations for being an au pair and my future goals after becoming one. One of the reasons why I want to be an au pair is because since I was a child I have dreamed of getting to know the world, learning about new cultures, languages and people, and I want to experience the daily life in your country. Another reason is that I find it to be the perfect job for me as it complements caring for children who I adore, for their innocence and the ability they have to make a person happy with their enthusiasm. It is also an incredible opportunity to be able to perfect my English, get to know new places, have the experience of having a new family in another part of the world and that they can teach me their customs and also gain much more work experience for my future.

After having the experience as an Au Pair I plan to enter the university to study Neonatology which is the profession of my dreams since it complements the area of health with children.
