I'm Ana Marie Tapaya, from the Philippines. I'm looking for a host family.
Dear Future Host Family,
If you ever read this, I would like to say that I hope your whole family are all safe from the COVID-19. I deeply understand because of the current situation, most of the host families are looking for an Au Pair who is already in Europe. However, I am very optimistic that you will lend me your time reading this letter.
I am writing in response to your need for an Au Pair for your wonderful children, and I would love the chance to help your family manage with your active schedule and be a big sister to your kids.
My name is Ana Marie Jordan Tapaya, 26 years old, from the Philippines. I consider myself as a family-oriented, fun, flexible, independent, adventurous, and loving person. I'm the kind of person who asks and accepts feedback because I want to improve myself each day and strive to learn new things.
I love cleaning the house because I like that everything is in order and well-organised and I can cook a simple meal. In my spare time, I love reading books, watching a series on Netflix, playing video games with my friends, climbing mountain, camping, cycling, walking, and going to the beach and museums.
I have had some babysitting experience. I have four siblings, three boys and one girl, and as the eldest, I need to take over and carry all the obligations on behalf of my mother because she left us. Because of my passion for kids, I took the Caregiving course, where I learned so many things like childcare, elderly care, and special education. After I finished it, I became a full-time nanny for a newborn baby for one year, where I applied all my knowledge in childcare. I also took care of my cousin, who is disabled and a family friend's child who has special needs.
From these childcare experiences, I developed a strong bond with kids, on how to be patient and stay calmed at all times, and most importantly, I love hanging out with kids because they make me feel happy and younger.
Another reason why I want to become an Au Pair aside from taking care of kids lovingly is that I've always wanted to experience to live in a foreign country, especially in Europe, to experience different cultures, to meet new friends and self-growth. I didn't see this as a "job", I view this as an opportunity to discover more about what life has to offer.
If you would like to know any more information about me, please feel free to contact me.
I am so excited to meet my first-ever host family, and I can't wait to share my new journey with you all as your Au Pair.
Thank you very much in advanced for your time and consideration.
Warm regards,
Ana Marie Jordan Tapaya
