I am a 24-year old Colombian student and teacher. I am a responsible, hard worker, and a committed person in every project I develop; looking for a job as an AuPair.

Dear Family,
My name is Vivian Lizeth Gaona Moreno, I am a 24-year old Colombian student and teacher. I would like to share with you the most important aspects of my life for you to know me better. I am a responsible, hard worker and a committed person in every project I develop. Since I was a girl, I enjoyed doing tasks by myself, this is why I am very independent, but it does not mean I do not like teamwork. I am a patient person, a positive thinker, and a cheerful friend who is always singing or dancing to make others laugh.
I am from Bogotá city, but I grew up in a little town in which I lived with my parents for 13 years. I do not have brothers or sisters; my family is very small. My father was a farmer, but 8 years ago, he and my mother, who is a housewife, moved to a different town. Now, he is working as a security guard. They are both 59 years old. Pets are part of my family too; during my childhood I always had pets. At this moment, I live with my pet, Pili, in a small apartment in Bogotá City.
I consider that in my short life I have had the opportunity to do many things which have enriched my knowledge. First, when I graduated from high school, I received a technical diploma in business management and another one in the marketing of products and services. Besides, I also finished my technical studies in hospitality management. Currently, I am studying the last year of a BA in Philology and languages with emphasis on the English language at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
In my free time, I like to walk my pet in the park; it is funny to see her running and playing with other dogs while I enjoy nature. I also like to watch movies, X-Men and Avengers Sagas are my favorite ones, but I love Disney movies too. Singing and dancing are activities that I enjoy very much. I listen to music all the time, when I get up in the morning, when I take a shower, when I cook, when I travel, etc.
I have had two years of experience related to kids. My first experience was teaching English to 3rd-grade students in a public school in Bogotá as part of a project I developed at my university. Then I was an intern for four months in another school with 2nd and 3rd graders while I was working for an institute teaching to adults and kids. All my students were between 6 and 13 years old. I like teaching English using songs and games which help my kids to develop skills in this language while they have fun. In addition, I have looked after my neighbors' children when they needed it. I took them to soccer practice, prepared their food, and played with them while their parents were working.

I can speak English, but I would like to improve my skills. I have never taken an international exam to certify my proficiency in this language, but considering my studies and preparation, for sure I am between B2 and C1. I do not speak another language different from Spanish or English, but in the future, I want to learn more.

The reasons why I want to be an Au Pair are the following. First, I really like sharing time with kids because there are a lot of things, I can learn from them, from their innocence and spontaneity. Second, I can also contribute to your family supporting your children as a friend and teacher. Third, this is a great opportunity to improve my English skills and to learn another language. Fourth, I would meet different cultures, people, and lifestyles, as well as, sharing with my host family all about Colombian culture, which means, music, food, and happiness. Fifth, but not least. I would acquire more experience working with children which is very important for my professional career.

I expect to have a good experience with my future host family and to get along with all the family members. Also, I would like to share good moments with the children because they are going to become an important part of my life for a year. Furthermore, I hope to be the help that you need.

To conclude my letter, I just want to say thank you for reading until the end. I would be happy to speak with you and to answer all the questions you could have as well as to know more about your family, your hobbies, and your expectations. I hope to hear from you soon.
