Exploration and discovery are passions of mine that I would never tire of, and what better way to do so than through the experiences of the locals and natives to the country?
I have been travelling and immersing myself in different cultures and ideals since before I can even remember from family road trips to solo backpacking excursions. With my graduation and a new phase of my life to come soon, I would love to continue travelling and learning new cultures through work aways, camps or au pair positions. My aim through this experience is to leave having had added on new, memorable experiences and another family.
I've been told by many that I would make a great teacher in the near future because of my empathy and patience. I can't say I'm necessarily an expert at taking care of children as I've never had any of my own yet, but through my past experiences with children, I can be of service and help, emotionally and physically, when needed either through housework, tutoring, problem-solving or just a helpful ear.
I have the adaptability and level-headedness to stay engaged and ready when needed no matter the circumstance may arise, but I also have the energy and playfulness to be flexible and relatable to your children. I can be both a friend, teacher and a helping hand. I have a wide range of skills and abilities that can be used to either engage with your children or educate them.
I'm part of a taekwondo club, and I also play other sports: basketball, volleyball, swimming, football and dance. Singing and songwriting is another pastime that I really love as it pertains to my degree, and I play guitar and piano. As I love fashion as well, I just got back into making and reworking my own clothes. I've also been a part of a fashion magazine as the editorial assistant for the duration of my university time. Baking and cooking are also passions that I've been doing since I was really young with both of my parents being cooks, and I love eating, which coincides perfectly!
I do have experience taking care of children as I've been volunteering abroad since the age of 15 from Nicaragua to Poland, and English teaching for children has been the main focus. I will hopefully be teaching in Poland over the Summer if travel bans and health safety measures permit me to do so. I will also be getting my TEFL certificate by the end of this Summer in hopes of travelling more and teaching children.
I have 2 younger siblings whom I have taken care of since the age of 8 with tutoring, general hygiene, cooking and dropping off and picking up from school. I've also taken care of my 2 baby cousins when they were between the ages of 1-3.
