My name is Sri, I am 26 years old, and I currently live in Chennai, in the south of India.i would like to start this beautiful job as soon as possible. I studied engineering, but I really want to travel before I settle down and make any major decisions. To me, being an au pair is a mixture of learning about another culture and offering my own; I am proud of my culture and I want to share its beauty, but I also want to explore others'. Besides my unique cultural knowledge, I love children and fra
I am a goofy, joke-loving, happy guy seven days a week. I consider myself hardworking and attentive, but I always try and stay relaxed and accommodating regardless. I have tons of interests: I love music, especially foreign music; I am sporty and especially like playing football (soccer); I like bowling a little too much; I love gardening; and most of all I love cooking and eating. Food has always been a big part of my life, from its preparation to what it means to be around a table. In fact, after I finish my time as an au pair, my dream is to open a restaurant in Europe and work as a cook there. I hope my stay with my host family will help enrich my knowledge and appreciation of foreign cuisine.I have no experience as of yet specifically as an au pair, but I do have a lot of relevant experience. Last year, I took care of my two cousins, ages 5 and 6, for one full year, which included: dressing them, feeding them, getting them to and from school, and keeping them company. I also have experience abroad, when I spent four months in New York state working as and learning to be a cook. I am sure I have the skills to take care of children as if they were my own.
I think it is time for the next step for me in my life, which is one of the main reasons I want to be an au pair. I love travelling, both in India and abroad, because I love exploring other cultures. Food, language, people, it all enchants me. As an au pair, I want to learn as much as I can about my host country, and, therefore, the world at large. In the same way, however, I love my home, and I want the opportunity to share my love with the world. I think as as an au pair I can have a real impact on people's perception of India when I show what it means to me.
