Dear future host family,

Thank you for reading my letter. My name is Kongpak Wisuttipen or Sine. I am 28 years old. I heard of Au Pair when I was 21 years old, but I wasn't ready to apply for Au Pair because I never had work experience, so I decided not to apply. But now I am confident that I could take care of children because I had experience from babysitting my nephew since his birth. Now he is 7 years old. I took care of him when he was a baby. Now I usually take him out for travelling to new places and do activities with him, for example, playing football and playing badminton on holiday. I think Au Pair is really good for us that they give me an opportunity to learn language, your culture, and have a chance to travel on holiday. The most important thing is doing what I love, taking care of children.

My family is from Bangkok. I have a small family with 5 people, including Grandmom, Grandpa, Mom, one brother and nephew. My family work as civil servants. My nephew is studying in the school nearby my home.

About my educational background, I graduated from King Monkut's University of Technology North Bangkok in Bachelor of Science (Statistics and Business Insurance). I have knowledge about statistics. When I was 21, I started work as a Non-Life Insurance Officer for 2 years. After that I worked in a financial planning company as a Relationship Manager. Now I am a consultant for my clients about mutual fund, life Insurance, and non-life Insurance.

In my free time, I would do some activities that I interested in as hobbies, such as:

- Doing activity with my nephew - We usually go out for travelling to the beach and swim together. We also enjoy other activities, such as playing badminton, playing board games, playing card games. Also, we both like eating Thai food so we cook simple dishes together, such as Thai fried rice, omelet, congee, etc.
- Making my own channel on YouTube - I make videos about everything from my experience, such as travelling to Vietnam with my friends, family trips, hair treatment tutorials, food sampling, etc. You could search “Kongpak Style” for my channel.
- Doing activities with my friends - For example, going for a hike at Phu Soi Dao Mountain which is located in northeastern Thailand. It took us 6 hours. While we were hiking, I loved beautiful nature. Watching the sunset there was the most impressive experience for me.
- Meditating 2 times every year at a Buddhist temple - It makes me realize many things about myself and help clear my mind. It also helps me come up with new thoughts and ideas.

Concerning children experience, I have experience of working at Childcare in Banyan Tree Hotel, Bangkok, for 350 hours. They usually have 8-10 children a day. They are 7 months to 5 years old. My responsibility is doing activities with children, such as painting, storytelling, feeding, bathing, changing diaper, and playing with them. They are so cute and friendly. Sometimes they argue with each other. I usually ask them what is happening. After that I make them say sorry to each other and hug each other out.

I would like to introduce my characteristics as well. I would describe myself as a good listener who has a service mind. I am patient and friendly. I always put others before myself and I could adapt to any circumstances. If I make mistakes, anyone could correct me because I always listen to other people. However, I also have some weaknesses. I may spoil children or spend money extravagantly, but I can solve it by saving money in mutual fund before I spend the money.

Regarding additional skills, I can drive a car. I could take the children to do activities outside. In case of emergency, my driving skill could help. I can cook Thai food for kids or learn how to make new dishes. I am ready to learn new Dutch dishes. I focus on cooking and providing food for children because children should eat nutritious food, including vegetable, fruits, carbs, protein and right amount of fat, in order to be healthy. I can speak English on daily basis and I can do light housework.

Why the Netherlands, one year ago, I was in Europe for 18 days. I went to the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Germany. I love the atmosphere, people, and food, especially in the Netherlands. I felt that Dutch people were really nice. I had a Thai friend in the Netherlands and she took me to many places. It will be a chance to meet new people, experience new culture, travel in Europe, and work with Dutch people.

I would be very happy to be an Au Pair. I love being with children. I am happy when they are happy, when they play with me and laugh together with me. I believe that I have characteristics of a good Au Pair.

Also, I am very excited to learn English and have opportunity to travelling in Europe. I hope to be a part of your family and I will do my best. I wish you a great day and looking forward to hearing from you very soon.

Yours sincerely,

Kongpak Wisuttipen (Sine)
