Hugo Nanny/Au pair from Mexico, Looking for a Job starting January 2020
I'm 21 years old, currently I'm a fourth year medical student,
I want to become an Au pair because I would like to experience it, I was an exchange student back in 2014 in Iowa, and now I would like to go back, but be in a family/work environment instead of a family/school one.
"Experience it" May sound like a very unvalid and loose reason, but that doesn't mean I will not interact, or perform my tasks or activities in an optimal way.
I know some text on the internet is not enough to know about a person and probably not that reliable of a source, so I also have the reference of my former host family in Le Mars, Iowa if you wish to have a conversation with them.
I have a 13 years old brother, and I have always taken care of him when my parents are not home for shorts or long periods of time (days-weeks), but also when they are, I try to guide him into learning things that will be benefitial for him and teach him values that will be useful for him in life.
I also have several cousins but the one I spend time the most is a 15 years old female, which some times I look after too, and motivate her into school and her hobbies (handcrafted arts, drawing, etc.) because her parents have to work a lot.
Music is what I like the most, the kind I prefer is "rock and roll", (to not fall in subgenres), but I listen to almost every genre. Some of the bands I like are
When I was a kid I started playing instruments, first the recorder at school and later, after my sister dropped her guitar lessons, I picked up the guitar my parents bought her and learned to play and moved to ther ones later.
I used to read a lot of books until I finished Highscool,I still do sometimes, but not as often. Some of the ones I liked the most are "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss, "Story of a broken heart, and maybe a pair of fangs" (translated from spanish, cool story that mixes Mexican folk culture with vampires and, according to the author, disney almost buys it to make a movie), and just to add a recent one that I read last year, "Dead Heat" by Dick and Fellix Francis.
I did wrestling for 3 years (folk and freestyle), and also did weight training for 6 years, (had to leave it temporary due to school schedule).
I learned English because of my really good elementary school teacher, and the internet (youtube videos and games)
Learned Portuguese thanks to a Brazilian friend I lived with during my year in the USA and later watched class videos, and later movies and series to strengthen it.
I also like to play some videogames, (Modern Tetris, Tibia) I mainly played during the Wii times, the Sonic Storybook Series were my favorite, playing videogames it is not something I do often, but I'm not a stranger to them either.
