Nanny/Au-Pair/PA from Kenya looking for a job with a family,starting from 26th January .

My name is Matthew Michael.M.B and I am interested in the job.

Over seven years experience as a caregiver should be of interest to you,because of:
-privileged access to and application of the knowledge and information of avant-garde western physicians like twice Nobel laureate Dr. Linus Pauling,Dr.William Howard Hay,Dr.Weil, and countless others,combining the very best ideas and practices of both conventional and alternative medicines,offering safe and inexpensive simple alternative;
-accurate knowledge of Biblical principles(the cornerstone of wholesome living)which your missionaries have expounded-to work heartily as unto the Lord.
I have applied these precepts on my own family members,friends and acquaintances with phenomenal success.If your ancestors hadn't had this flaming urge,civilization would have been impossible.
Therefore,I offer myself for this great opportunity,though I do not believe I can wager a pay to your well-being,but rather reciprocate for the inestimable knowledge availed me by you in this remote part of earth.
Towards this end ,I can contribute by keeping the flame alive,helping reverse chronic degenerative diseases,meet your goals of your birthright potential of optimal health by resetting your body's odometer and enhance your quality of life and happiness and innate healing power.

Things important to me as a caregiver:
Being a Positive Role Model
I should not spend all day talking on the phone about personal matters nor park myself in front of the TV for hours. Making the kids my main focus is what being a caregiver all is about. I avoid entertaining guests that were not approved by the parents beforehand. Don't invite friends or a significant other over to the family's house unless my employer has given prior approval. Even in that instance, I should be conscious of the amount of time they are visiting and be sure that my main focus is on the kids.
Be On Time As a Caregiver
The reason most families hire a caregiver is because the parents are working. If I am a live-in caregiver, I am expected to be awake and ready to go at a designated time. I should never put myself in a position where I oversleep and my employer must wake me up. Not only is that irresponsible, but it is also unprofessional. Just because I live in the home doesn't mean my caregiver job doesn't have a specific start time.
Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
An important caregiver responsibility is to communicate with the people who hired me: the parents! If I don't have time to talk to the parents at the end of the day, then I must find a way to share what happened that day with the children. If I need to, I can start a journal or a log where I record important pieces of information such as where I went for nanny activities, what was eaten during the day, how the child's appetite was, what behaviors/demeanor I saw throughout the day and even any school work that may need to be done. These are important pieces of information and should be shared with a parent. The best way to communicate with a parent is of course, face-to-face…..
Keeping Kids Safe
A caregiver has many responsibilities and the most important one is keeping the children in my care safe. Because a caregiver is usually responsible for transporting children to and from activities and school, it is essential that I have a safe driving record .If the children under my care require car seats, make sure I have the seats installed correctly. I must also remember that each and every time I get in the car, the children are buckled up. Keeping kids safe in a car is one of the most important nanny responsibilities.A nanny should also be CPR-certified and trained in case a child needs simple first aid or is choking. As I am not CPR- trained or certified, I will make it a priority to become educated as soon as possible.
Provide Stimulating Activities
As a nanny, part of my job is to provide the children with stimulating activities. Few parents want to pay a nanny who lets their children sit in front of a television all day. An important nanny responsibility is to ensure the child is getting academic and social stimulation throughout the day.
Reading is a great activity for a caregiver and child to do together. I should read to the children daily. Not only is it stimulating, it is also a good way to endorse the importance of reading at an early age. I should also designate playtime on a regular basis such as:
1. Taking trips to the park,
2. Go to a playgroup, and
3. Allow for interaction with other children
4. Take the children to the library for free activities;
5. Keeping a child engaged in play is a must when being a caregiver
Another great idea is to do arts and crafts activities with the children. Arts and crafts can get messy, but it is a rewarding and engaging activity for children to participate in.
With a school-aged child in my care, I should be prepared to help them with their homework.
Time Commitments as a Caregiver
When I agree to take on a nanny job I will discuss the time commitment that is expected of me. However, there will be instances where the family might need more of my time and I should be prepared to handle request for additional caregiver time commitments professionally.
If I am scheduled to care give until a certain time, but a parent asks me to work late (they're stuck at work themselves or an emergency came up, for instance), I must be flexible enough to stay and care for the children until a parent arrives home. My contract should state how I will be compensated in such an instance. It is the parent's responsibility to contact me in reasonable time to let me know I am needed longer than usual. Some caregivers are asked to work nights so that the parents can go out for the evening. It should be stated in your contract that I will be asked to provide childcare on designated nights each month for a specific compensation.
