Hi there host family !

I'm Josephine, a 23 year old young woman, Irish and British, born and raised in France, longing for new experiences and travelling the world. I grew up in a large family of 7 and took care of my siblings as I was given responsibilities at a young age. I've always been very independent and my nature is helpful and altruistic. I am hard working and dedicated but most of all I enjoy what I do because I believe in its purpose. I am passionate about art, culture and poetry, that's why travelling abroad is so exciting to me, I love to discover new aspects of foreign cultures. I can't wait to meet you and live this experience to the fullest !

Being from a large family, I have four siblings, I have learned independence, selflessness, kindness and respect. My working experience as a barista has brought me much patience and understanding. I have also been a babysitter to two children and often reminisce over that period because I love children, their innocence and creativity. I am hard working and dedicated and hate disappointing people. I always do my best and love to challenge myself. I am very creative, as my ancestors were either teachers or artists. I am actually very passionate about art and enjoy drawing, painting and other crafty activities on a daily basis.

I have actually had this idea of becoming au pair for years now but have only got around to signing up to an agency. Indeed my longing to travel on a long period of time is at its highest point and I would enjoy it even more if it was shared and beneficial to others such as you, dear host family. I strongly believe that working with children is an extremely valuable and beautiful experience, for them as well as us, grownups. Le Petit Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a story I like to keep in the corner of my mind to protect the innocence and lightheartedness I might lose as a I go further into life.
