Dear Host Family,

My name is Allie and I am a 25 year old female living in New York City.

I moved to the city 3 years ago, after graduating from Southern Connecticut State University. I absolutely love New York City, but I currently I work in finance and have realized that it is not something I am very passionate about. So, I am ready to make a change and try something new and exciting that is outside of my comfort zone.

I am so happy that I discovered this program and I hope that this letter will show you how excited I am to share this experience with you.

I am a native English speaker, I have a driver's license, and I am currently taking beginner french classes. I have not been CPR certified in the past 5 years, so I do plan on taking a first aid class before starting a job.

I do not have newborn experience but I have babysat for children 2 years - 14 years.

My friends and colleagues would describe me as cheerful, upbeat and positive. I am very personable and love meeting new people. I am also a very responsible and reliable person and I will be a person that your family can always count on. I'm optimistic, have a very calm disposition, and am always up to help out in any way that I can.

I am a very clean person and will always clean up after myself. I also love all food and enjoy getting creative in the kitchen.
