I am a nanny/au pair from South Africa, 21, looking for a job with a nice family. I would be willing to re-locate from April, 2020.
Hi my name is Sarah, I am 21 years old living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I come from a big family, with 4 brothers . 2 older, 2 younger. Our big family includes our 4 dogs, 2 cats and one guinea pig named Estella.
All my life, being part of such a big family and being one of the older siblings and also the only girl I was automatically given a lot of responsibility to look after my brothers and younger cousins and nieces and nephews.
When I graduated from high school I started au pairing part time and progressively started increasing my hours per week. I love working with children because they are the most honest people you'll come across, they have the craziest sense of humor and an imagination none like any other. I think deep down, under the responsible adult, I'm still a child on the inside too. I would like to take on this journey to learn more about myself and by aupairing abroad I'm able to combine my love for children and nurturing along with a growing and learning experience.
I'm a creative and love working with arts and craft. I am also a singer (comes in handy when you've got a restless kiddie on your hands). I love fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. I've practiced Muay Thai for about one year and it's taught me an immense amount of discipline and focus.
I've worked with children from as young as 1 years old all the way up to my 16 year old brother. I'm confident that growing up with 4 brothers has helped me identify ways to defuse chaotic situations. I've learned how remaining calm in every situation is really important to finding common ground and solutions.
Working with younger children has taught me patience and how to be extra cautious around the house and make sure your little one is in a safe space. I've also bettered my cooking skills being an au pair, I've become quite good at making tasty, yet healthy meals.
I would love to have the opportunity to be apart of your family. I can guarantee a lot of laughter, hard work, open communication and willingness to learn. I really look forward to hearing from you and meeting you!
