26 year old Proffesional American Nanny/AuPair

Hello! My name is Devon, and I am 26 years old. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better!
Childcare has been a part of my life for a very long time. For many years it has been my job to care for children as if they were my own, while also adapting to each families parental beliefs. I do quite well while multitasking. You can expect me to be able to juggle the needs of the house and the children simultaneously. It is important to me that I do all of this while also making sure your kids are happy and having fun!
As a big sister, I became a child caregiver by default but willingly. I have various experience in the day to day care of children from ages newborn to teen. I have had the privilege to work with three families full time, along with an immense amount of babysitting and short-term jobs. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with children with disabilities ranging from autism to the hearing impaired. Those experiences elevated my understanding and perspective of children at all developmental levels.
As a professional full-time nanny I cared for 16-month-old twins, and then a family with four children(ages 18mo, 3, 5, 15), a family with three children( 17 mo, 3, 5) and most recently a family with two children( NB, 18mos). I also was employed as a housekeeper for two years, where I was responsible for keeping many homes clean and organized.
My creativity and experiences along with my calm temperament have prepared me to be able to balance and anticipate both the needs of the household, as well as that of the children, but most importantly, the children. My personal interests in travelling and the arts, as well as my voracious appetite for reading, has been an asset in caring for children in various stages of educational learning. I have taken many improv and acting classes in NYC as well as many music classes over the years. Art has been a massive part of my life. I have found that it has been one of my greatest strengths when taking care of children. My experiences have given me the ability to always keep the kids educationally entertained while also having a fun time.
