My name is Blanche. I am a 27 year old (female) cameroonian student. I currently live in buea the southwest region of cameroon, where I work as a cashier to earn a living at the momment due to the political crisis in cameroon. I studied banking and finance at the university of buea. i completed with Bachelor and i am looking forward to under my masters program in the above field.

I come from a family of 5. My parents, my little sister and my step brother live in germany. I have 2 other syblings here in cameroon. My little sister Ophilia lives with my parents in germany and studys Medical engineering.

In about a year or two I plan to pursue a masters degree, but I am yet to make up my mind on where to continue with my plan due to the political crisis in my country ,the educational system is unstable. So, at the moment, I would like to take some time out of academics to have a different life experience, and to have time to calmly reflect on my future plans.Hence, I think spending a year abroad would be particularly interesting. I feel that a cultural immersion would do me a lot of good

My first language is, of course, English, and I am also fluent in french. I started learning French in primary school, and it was also the language of instruction in the secondary school I attended (bilingual school). I have in addition been taking courses taught in german online.

I am particularly interested in experiencing family life abroad, since it offers a cultural context that is undoubtedly different from mine. For this reason, I would very much like to find a nice family to live with and work for.
When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts.I grew up in a household with 4 children (age between1 to 12). I spent months working for a neighbour who had 3 kids during my highschool days to earn a little pocket money. Among others, I provided after-school tuition to children aged between 5 to 14 years. I also organized for them and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities: we sang, danced, played games, role played, drew, painted, and narrated stories.

I have helped my parents and other family members to look after my syblings and cousin since birth. I was nevertheless much more involved in caring for them on a daily basis. I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.

When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I also enjoy painting and on dull or rainy days, I often propose drawing and painting activities to my cousins and our neighbour's children whenever they come for company.
As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family, that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 6 months. I am very open to taking care of any age group.
