My name is Gloria but you can call me Oly. I am 20 years old. I originate from Indonesia. I am living with my family [my mom, my dad, and my brothers Jeremy(18yo) and Yosia(13yo)] in Tangerang city (about 1hour from Jakarta). I'm studying business management at Pelita Harapan University and now im just trying to finishing my minithesis to get my bachelor degree really soon. I will graduate in January 2020 and am looking to be an Au Pair soon after I graduate.
I am very much looking forward to being a part of your family! I'm availabe to start on February 2020. I'm curious,open minded, friendly and responsible person and i love to discover. I would love to become your Au Pair because i love children and enjoy spending time with them. I'd like to be able to be someone that the children can look up to as an "older sister" but also i know that it not only playing with kids but to take care your child too and it will not always be just played and fun. So i know my self that i can take care them like my bro/sis with the professional, responsible, loyal, honest, patience, flexible, easy going way.
Although this will be my first au pair, but i,m confident in the ability to care for children. I am surrounded by children because first since im 17 years old. I became a Sunday School's Worship Leader in my church. I love it somuch that every Sunday we sing, dance and do any fun activities together in church like coloring, playing puzzle, watching movie, and twice a year we all go to a vacation place together. also i often babysat my neighbour children (yeah in Indonesia especially in where i live, we live close to each other neighbor and have a good relation) and i often babysat my niece and nephew too. So yeah basically i am very happy to be surrounded by kids. ❤
The main (long term) reason why i want to became an Aupair is i really wanna learn german language because i wanna continue my study in German. And i see that being an Aupair is a good start and opportunity to learn the languange with local or native people while still doing what i love (working with children). And another reason i decided to be an Au pair abroad is because i wanna see the world. I find it to be a very good opportunity to see the world, get to meet new people, explore a new culture, and create new experiences as well as to learn about myself while doing so. And ofcourse with Au pair program, also a great opportunity for me to know myself better and spend my youth in a good way before i continue my study, become an adult and entering the workforce and marriage life.
And some things you could expect from me other than just watching out for your child is would be taking care of the house, helping to prepare meals, and anything else you may need assistance with while i am there. I would also make sure to really get involved with your child. Making sure that I am there not just to babysit, but genuinely connect with them.
My expectations in this experience that to find a family that i can personally grow with and have fun with the family , great communication, understanding and in other words a smooth experience.
The requests that on Sunday i need a time to going to church and some time on weekends to get to explore, if possible.
Anyways, im really soon to start my german language courses to get my A1 certificate to apply visa. And in the process to get my international driver's license.
At the end of the word, i just want to say that i would love to come and live with your family and help look after your children, living up to the standards you expect of an au pair. I hope and promise you that i'm trying to bring a positive impact on your child as much as i can do and helping you in household.
I hope Aupair is my first step to pursue my dream to get my master in German. so im looking for family that speak German.
