Dear Family,
My name is Amanda. I am a young woman from Ghana living in Istanbul Turkey. Am 36 years. I've been in Turkey for a year now and I would love to be your Nanny/ Au pair. I've been teaching English to ( kids/ Adults) for 4 years now. I have an associate degree in Hotel catering and Institutional Management which makes me very hospitable and at ease with my students. I also have 160hour TEFL certificate from UK. I love sharing my knowledge and skills in teaching English as a second language to non- native speakers. Teaching English as a profession gives me a sense of fulfillment in making my students improve their communication skills. Before coming to Turkey I was visiting China twice a year for business. I love to travel and to meet new people.
To introduce myself, I am writing to tell you about myself and my experiences with children.
Here in Turkey am an ESL ( English as a second language ) teacher. I have my family back home in Ghana.
Here in Istanbul I live in Beykoz a very beautiful city with lots of forest, flowers and also good people. They don't normally see people with black skin so they love me very much and they help me a lot.
I teach some of the kids English as we are on summer holidays. I also take care of some of them for their mother's to run errands. I love children a lot.
My family is very important to me. I love them all very much, we spend a lot of time in communication as I dont get to see them.
Also it is very important for me that they support my plans of travelling around to be a nanny/au pair and also to teach and be with different children.
Since 10 years I have been taking care of kids with ages between 1 to 15 years. Feeding them, bathing them, teaching, playing with them, helping them to do their own things and guiding them in every possible way.
I want to be a nanny/au pair because I love children am very compassionate and want to live together with them and have a very good relationship with them as well. Also I want to improve my English accent and learn something about the your culture and folkways. And now I hope I will be considered by your family.
I describe myself as an open, friendly, organized, loyal and faithful person very funny to be around with. Also sense of responsibility is very important for me. I'm a helpful person, who laughs very often.
In my free time, I read many books, I like to cook and bake, I enjoy singing and dancing, watching movies. Also I love to play with the little children in my neighbourhood.
I enjoy always, when am together with children, it makes very much fun, to talk, laugh and play with them.
When I will be in your family for one year I hope we have a very good time, very much fun and a good everyday life with your family, learn much about your culture and improve my English accent.
I am sure, my host family and I will have an unforgettable year, with a good communication and much fun. Also we can learn much about the different cultures from each other.
