French aupair free from September, seeking a lovely family in London

My name is Mélanie, I am a 20 year old french girl.

I started being an aupair last september. I live with a nice family in Blackheath. They have two children, a girl (10) and a boy (8). I grew up with children around me. I have a sister and a brother who are 10 and another brother who is 8. I have a lot of younger cousins too and I spend a lot of time with them on holiday. Being the older one made me be in charge every time. I consider myself responsible and safe. The kids I look after now taught me infinite patience.

My tasks around the house include doing the drop-off and pick-up of the children, helping with the homework, making sure the house stays tidy and clean, cooking dinner sometimes, doing the laundry and the occasional babysitting.

I am kind and caring with the two children I look after now. I like playing board games and card games with them, or spending time outdoors in the park, on the heath, or in the garden. We also bake together sometimes.

After leaving College, I went to university in France to study communication. It wasn't right for me so I decided to come to London to take some distance and learn to know myself and figure out what I want to do with my life. I will be starting a Philosophy course at Birkbeck University next year. It is a 3 years degree. The classes are in the evening, between 6pm and 9, three to four evenings a week.

I really enjoy the experience of aupairing and I want to do it again! It is a great opportunity to discover London, and with the children being at school during the day, free time to do my homework. I want to be an aupair during my studies because I really like the idea of living with a family. I am responsible but not ready yet to be completely on my own. My grammar in french is perfect so I could teach your children some words and expressions if you want.

I am looking forward to hearing from you, feel free to contact me if you want any more information.
