Claire, au pair from France with experience in childcare, starting from July 2019!
Hello !
I'm Claire, I'm 21 and I'm currently in my last year as an undergraduate at university (I study social sciences).
I live in a small city in the south of France. I don't have my driver's license but I don't smoke.
I would love to go abroad as an au pair to discover a new culture and work with children !
I am an outgoing person though I can be shy at first, but as soon as I feel comfortable somewhere I'm good to go ! I like the outdoors, but I also like staying in and do activities: reading, watching movies, playing board games... I'm someone who minds the environment, and I'm a vegetarian I hope that won't be a problem!
My mom is a childminder, so I grew up around young children (usually under 4). I babysit regularly, and I look after 3 sisters (age 4 and 6) every summer for about a month. After my year as an au pair I would like to continue my studies to become a teacher for kids age 3 to 10.
I have been in English speaking countries before (I visited London, Brighton, Liverpool, Boston, NewYork, Washington and Miami) and many other places (mostly around Europe).
I love to read, watch movies and TV shows, take long walks in the outdoors, and baking !
Going abroad for several months would allow me to improve my English and discover a new culture by being around natives. As an aspiring traveller it is my dream to stay in an English speaking country for several months.
Living with a family is the best way to truly understand the culture and the language, and I'm excited to be a part of a family abroad and to help take care of the kids!
I have enough experience with children that I'm not afraid to look after them on a daily basis, and hopefully we'll all get along !
