My name is Astrid Carolina Galeano Cardozo, I am a 25 years old Colombian girl. I am so excited in this process of becoming an AU Pair. I am looking you a host family who wants to know about Colombian culture, Spanish language and other things.
I would like you to know a bit of me. I live in a small city at South of Colombia called Florencia, but I am from Cali, the Capital of Salsa dance. My family is small, I live with my mom and my nephew. My sibbligs have already left home. I have two sister and 3 brothers. I am the youngest of all. And my father has gone. I studied English Language Teaching at Universidad de la Amazonia in Florencia, Caquetá. I got my tittle as English Language teacher on November 2018. I am still so excited because of my achievement. Now I am opened to life opportunities that make me grow up in different aspects.
If you choose me as your AU Pair, I would like you to know my expectations and what you can expect from me:
I expect to be heard by parents because it is essential to have a good communication in order to solve any difficulty that may arise. Also, I expect to be undestood by my host family about the language and my culture, because the process of adaptation in a foreign country takes time. Additionally, I expect to be treated with respect, kindness and integrity, I consider that I deserve it because I act in that same way.
My host family can trust me, I am a down-to-earth person, responsible, respectful, calm, honest. I like children, so I can take care of them with love and patience. Also, I can teach them valuable things like speaking Spanish, arts, dancing, developing values among many things so that children spend their time developing activities that add value to their life instead of watching television, playing video games, using social networks, etc. in free time. Since I am a teacher, it is easy for me to have empathy and charm with children.
I describe myself as a responsible woman who enjoys the challenges that life presents to me to leave my comfort zone because I have always believed that it is through them that I can grow. I have a high sense of adaptability. I am respectful, kind and understanding. Regarding my interests, I really love art, I like to paint in oil, draw, make crafts, knit. Currently, I am learning to play the violin since it is my favorite instrument. Also, I like to read and write, watch videos of personal growth and improvement. I am interest in becoming a life coach in Neurolinguistics Programming, that is why I study a course in this field.
After being an Au Pair, I want to dedicate my life to the service of humanity, to continue being a channel of Divine Love, to reach people's hearts and inspire them to live a transformation from the inside out in their lives. I want to become a great international lecturer and be able to teach many people that can achieve changes in the way they perceive life, control thoughts, stabilize emotions, dream big and make wishes come true. All this can be achieved through an integral education that keeps in mind that beliefs govern our lives, these generate thoughts, them they generate emotions, and finally make us act in some way to have results.
