Nanny/au pair from America named Tamara, almost 18, looking for a job with the right family from June 11-August 15!
Hello, and thank you for your interest. My name is Tamara and I will be turning 18 next month. In early June, I will graduate from my boarding school, which is called Milton Academy, and in the fall I will attend university at Villanova Business School, where I plan to major in Marketing and French. In the meantime, I would love to spend my summer living with an amazing family, and enjoying time with your children!
First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in Boston, Massachusetts, and I love animals. My passions include music, travel, yoga, independent film, and French. At school I am president of my French Club, and my family has hosted exchange students from Aix-en-Provence for the past seven years in a row! I come from a multi-cultural family, and have traveled extensively. I have spent time in Picardie and Paris, but I love the ocean, so my absolute favorite region of France is the South.
The reason I am seeking a position as an au pair is that I love children. I have helped raise my 7 year old nephew, and have been babysitting for families in my neighborhood for the past five years. I have also been a summer nanny in New York for up to two weeks at a time, so I am accustomed to living with a family while providing childcare. As a person who is both nurturing and fun, my favorite activities to do with children include: art, reading, playing educational games, taking walks, visiting parks, and being active, but I will treat your children as individuals and tailor our activities to what your children enjoy, and what you wish for them. I am First Aid/CPR certified, and have a driving license with two years of experience, and a perfect record. I also have tutoring experience, and am happy to help your children with English or math. As for the language you would like me to use in the home, I am conforfortable with English, French, or some combination. Parents I have worked for in the past say I have a talent for getting children to study, have a bath, get to bed, and other “undesirable” things… without much difficulty! I am happy to provide references upon request.
I do not have nearly as much experience assisting elders, but I do have a 97 year old great grandfather whom I visit with and assist regularly. During these visits, I make him tea or soup, do some shopping for him, and most important, talk with him and keep him compnay. Although I do not have as much experience with elders as with children, I'm very willing to learn if the right situation came along.
Finally, I want you to know I am a reliable and responsible person. Your loved ones' safety and well-being will be my utmost priority. I do not smoke, do illegal drugs, or drink alcohol to excess. I also recognize and appreciate that you are welcoming an au pair into your home, and I will always treat your home with respect and courtesy.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I could be available from June 9 to August 15, 2019. If you think we might be a good fit, I would love to speak with you.
