Hello Host Family,

My name is Gabriela, but you can call me Gabby and I'm 23 years old. I was born in Jundiai a city in São Paulo in December 1995.

Since I was a child I always had easy time to make new friends. I enjoy meeting new people and dealing with their differences. It's amazing to think that each one has their own story and I‘m making part of this. Besides making friends, as a child I loved to visit my grandmother and eating her wonderful food, play with my neighbors and cooking. I believe by having facility to meet new people and be connected to my family will help me a lot during the Au Pair program.

I have one brother older than me. He is 28 and lives in another state with his wife, they got married last march. I can not wait to be an aunt.

My entire family helps and supports me anytime. My parents are very happy with my decision to be an Au Pair, My dad used to travel a lot when he worked at a multinacional company and the travels were mind openning to him.

Among my favorite hobbies there is listening to music, reading books, watching shows and movies, traveling, surfing on internet and go out dancing with my friends.

I graduated from college in 2016, I studied bussiness. When I return to Brazil, my priority will be start a new college. I wanna be a teacher for kids, that's what my mom does at her work and watching her doing it really inspires me.

When I turned 18, my biggest dream at the time came true, I went to Disney World, it was my first time abroad and I have the most perfect memories of it. At 18, I also got my driver's license, here in Brazil, you must be 18 or older to be able to drive, I am a very responsible driver, driving usually relaxes me, altough I don't live in the big city we have lots of traffic in here, our public transportation could be better. I drive to work every day and it takes me arround 20 minutes.

When I turned 21 I had the opportunity to go back to the USA, this time I went to New York, as soon as I get the chance I wanna go back there.

I currently work at a school named People, the school offers english classes, we have children of many different ages studying here. It is amazing to see them learning a new language at such young age. My job here is to take care of every administration aspect of the school, such as payments, students paperworks, teachers paper work... Everyone in here is also being very supportive on my decision to be an AuPair, the plan is to complete the program, study to became a teacher and start giving classes in here.

I want to see new places, new cultures and having incredible experiences in another country and I believe the AuPair program is the best way to do it.

I would like to thank in advance the family that will pick and give me the chance of a lifetime. I am dedicating myself in every way for this program and I am improving my English daily. I'll do my best and we will be very happy during this year, trust me, can't wait to meet you!
