Nanny/au pair from Thailand called Ploy,20, looking for a short au pair experience during her summer vacation (mid-May until mid-July)
Dear future host family,
Thank you for visiting my profile!!
I am Ploypailin, a 20-year-old student from Thailand.
My mother-tongue is Thai. Since I went to an international high school in Canada, I consider my English as an almost-native level. I also speak relatively fluent Spanish as I spent 8 months living in Ecuador with a host family that only uses Spanish. I have basic knowledge of the French language but I need more practice in order to be fluent. I'm always up to learn about different cultures and languages so I would love to spend time in a country I can immerse myself in its culture.
I currently live in Rochester, a small town in New York state, USA.
I am an easy-going and enthusiastic person who has lived in 4 different countries in 3 continents. I would love to share my experience with you and your kids while expecting to gain and learn new experiences from being an au pair.
I want to spend my summer vacation in Europe especially the Netherlands or Belgium because I stayed there during my winter holidays.I'm totally in love with the cultures and people.
I came from a medium-size family in a small province of Thailand. I am the big sister of my brother and sister. They are 10 and 13. I used to take care of my younger siblings when they were young. I left my hometown at the age of 15 to study in a prestigious high school in Bangkok. After 2 years in Bangkok, I received a scholarship from a program called United World College to study in the IB program at a boarding school on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I graduated high school there and went on taking a gap year. I participated in a gap-year program called Global Citizen Year where I lived with a local host family in Ecuador for 8 months while learning Spanish and interning at a school for special needs kids. I was working as a teacher assistant in a class of 4-year-old kids with different kinds of disabilities. I also worked as an English teacher for students from the age of 12-18 in Ecuador.
I really like my time in Ecuador where I worked with children and it has become my passion. I love learning new cultures and languages that's why I feel like being an au pair will give me the opportunity to do what I love.
