Nanny from Colombia, looking for a full-time job, starting from March!

Hello Parents! I'm Angelica! I'm from Colombia. I'm 26 years old. I'm a very active person with a sweet personality, very cheerful and kind, I have a genuine love with the kids. An artistic person and adventurous soul.

I was an Au Pair for one year in Boston and currently I'm student looking for a full time job. About my childcare experience, I've worked with kids from newborns to 14 years old. Doing different tasks as set up an schedule for a baby (EPS), to activities as playing soccer, basketball, reading books, enjoying a movie, riding bike, rolling skates, baking cupcakes or desserts with older kids. My favorite part of work with kids in USA is show them my culture. If they love cooking and dancing as me, I'll be happy to show them Colombian recipes and dance Colombian music. As a Spanish native, is a perfect opportunity for them to learn a new language.

I had an special experience for one year and half working with kids of different ages in a depressive zone in mi city, Neiva in Colombia, this was my social work for my career, I'm social communicator and journalism. We had around 20 children (between 3 and 14). They were hard with us, they were on the defensive, but little by little we won their trust and our experience was wonderful, they used to go with happiness for share with us and playing soccer, baseball, painting, making posters for environmental campaigns in their neighborhood. It was very gratifying to give them some fun.

I would be awesome to have a good fit with the host family and the kids. I would like to have an open and direct communication with the host family; honesty about their expectations with the Nanny. Respect for me, my work and my independence, because I always will do the same. I would like a family who is active and want to share their culture with me and in the same way a family who is open to know and share my Colombian culture.
