My name is Olivia but you can call me Liv, I am currently 19 but I will be 20 in May! I am a working/student from the United States.
I grew up in a very close-knit, well mannered, loving family. I have been caring for children since I became an aunt at 7 years old. I became a special needs counselor when I was 15. Counseling these children not only taught me patience but also made my heart grow larger. I am quite athletic, energetic, and open-minded as well. I played basketball, volleyball, danced, piano, and percussion throughout primary school. I enjoy teaching new things to not only the children but to myself as well, so you can call me adventuresome...
I have seven, soon to be eight, nieces and nephews! I have cared for them from birth, for the past 12 years. It brings me great happiness to have seven little ones that look up to me. My love for caring for children stemmed them. After years of babysitting, at age 18 I started nannying for a single traveling mother. I was responsible for creating a safe and stimulating environment, carpooling, cooking dinner, helping with homework, guiding the child with decisions, and light housekeeping. I spent two summers counseling disabled children at KARE camp. I spent the summer of 2017 living and working at the Home Ranch Relais & Châteaux in Colorado. Part of my job at the Ranch consisted of caring for children from breakfast time to bedtime. These experiences have not only cultured me but taught me knowledge and skills that you cannot learn in a book. I have a big place in my heart for children. I hope to be able to teach your children English, sports, music knowledge, and more!
I love to cook and clean for myself and others. Another aspect of my job at the Ranch was housekeeping. During that time I learned how to properly clean a home including- making beds, scrubbing bathrooms, doing laundry, and everything else that includes making a house a home. I would love to teach all of you how to make proper “Mid-Western” food!
I look forward to working as an au pair because I have a passion for children, a passion for learning new life experiences, and I enjoy traveling very much. I spent December of 2018 traveling Europe- Germany, Croatia, Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein. I fell in love with Germany and the history behind it during that trip. I am constantly striving for new knowledge. I believe this experience will not only help me grow but hopefully influence my host family as well.
I am looking to spend under a 3-12 months in Germany, the dates are negotiable. If it is a good fit I am willing to spend more time with your family! If you would be interested in hosting me I will get back to you as soon as possible!
