Dear Family,
First of all I want to thank you for reading my letter and for giving me the chance to give you a little impression of me and the reasons why I would like to become an Au Pair. I would be really grateful if you'll give me the chance to learn more about your culture which is my greatest wish.
My full name is Lady Fatima, but my family and friends simply call me Lady. I am 26 year-old, college level, {female} Filipino. I live in the province of Bohol, a popular tourist destination {in the Philippines} with its beaches and resorts. It's capital, Tagbilaran City is where I came from. Tagbilaran is the principal gateway to Bohol. 630 km (390 mi) southeast of the national capital of Manila and according to the 2015 census, it has a population of 105,051 people.
I come from a family of 9: My parents, My father Jorge is a retired government employee and my mother Fidela used to run her own business (a small store/cafeteria). I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. My eldest sister Jordila, is 44 years old and currently run her small letting apartments. My 2nd older sister Faye, 42 years old, currently full-time mother of 5 was an ex-Operations Manager of a Travel Agency in Dubai. My brother George, is 40 years old and works as a Yacht Technician in Dubai. My 3rd older sister Georgie, is 38 years old and is a Reservation Supervisor in a Travel Agency in Dubai. My 4th older sister Jolly, is 36 years old, lives in Ireland with her family. She was an ex-Oil and Shipping Secretary cum Bunker trader in Sharjah. My 5th older sister Jeesah, is 28 years old and is a Secretary in an Oil Bunkering company in Sharjah. And I am the youngest in the family.
In 2014, I went to visit my family in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. While on holidays, I get to spend more time with my sister Faye's 4 kids under 8 years old at that time. I was on hand to assist her in taking care of the kids, house hold chores, taking them to school and even fetching them. I loved, and I love, seeing them growing up every day. It's magical seeing them growing up so fast and watch them taking life steps, like passing from the diaper to the potty or their first day of school. I love taking care of children which I can apply my knowledge and share my values. If you will give me a chance to be a part of your family, I'll be grateful. We can help each other to learn new possible things based on your culture and my culture. We can help each other molding your children to the most possible way they could be.
There are several reasons why I want to become an Au Pair. The most important reason of course is that I like children. I love them, because they represent all the innocence which we lost growing up. I love seeing how they develop and learn new things every day. Furthermore, I want to meet new people and I'm sure, one year far away from home will let me grow more as a person.
I would describe myself as a very friendly, cheerful, reliable and open-minded person. According to my friends I have a good sense of humor . I love to laugh and make other people laugh.
I would be really excited to live with you and get the chance to make new experiences.
