Sara, au pair from Italy, looking for a job in a Spanish nice family, starting from February.
Hi, my name is Sara, I'm 21 and I'm Italian, from Tuscany. I'm a student at the University for Foreigners of Siena, where I study linguistic and cultural mediation. This year I'm going to graaduate and my aim is becoming a cultural mediator and teacher of the Italian language to foreigners. I've been studying English since I was 9, that's why I reached a high level (C1), even though I continue attending classes. I can also speak French and German (B2) and last year I took on Chinese and Spanish as well. I've been a Red Cross volunteer for 6 years and thanks to that I started taking part in many indoor and outdoor activities involving kids, something that I've always liked and in which I already had some experience, as I have 2 younger brothers. Because of university I had to reduce the amount of time I used to spend on that, but during the last years I've worked as waitress, assistant receptionist and I've kept giving private tution to kids of different ages, helping them with their homework, and babysitting every now and then. I decided to sign up because I'd love to make an experience as au pair abroad. I love traveling and getting in touch with new cultures and realities and in this period of my life I really need to go away for a while and make a new experience. I've always lived in a multicultural context and for me there's nothing better than that: my mother and aunt were born in Germany, my grandmother lives in Switzerland and some of my relatives live in Canada. Moreover I study in an international university, where half of the students are from all around the world and, last but not least, my boyfriend is from Spain.
Last year I spent 5 months in Madrid as aupair. I took care of the two kids (6 and 7 y.o.) of a divorced couple and the experience was so amazing and meaningful that I'm still in contact with them.
