Au pair from United States looking for an open, fun family! Looking to start February! :)
Hi future Au pair family!!
My name is Zoe :) I hope you will consider me as your future au pair!! I really enjoy working with kids and have had many fun and diverse adventures throughout the years!! I've worked a lot as a Summer staff/camp counselor for a few different camps (I love working as a camp counselor!) and so far it had been my favorite thing to do. Most recently this past year I've done more work as a nanny and a babysitter for a few different families.
I know you'll ask me why I enjoy working with kids and there are a lot of different reasons. I'm still a person who uses her imagination and has fun being goofy and free with the way I express myself. I love that freedom. With kids I can be myself - as strange, weird, funny, expressive, creative self as I would like to be. Many things the adult world likes to shut down. I feel in my element when working with kids.
I also strive for awesome, fun relationships with people I come acrossed in my life and people I work with. I enjoy positive vibes, energies, and environments with great people! :) Making close friends and connections makes me so happy. I am very chill and laid back and love to hang out and play card games (or any games really) and laugh.
One of the most important things to me is to feel included and comfortable in my environment. I would really like to be involved as much as I can with your family and would love it if you would like me to hang around and chat with you :) I also am a person who needs alone time to recharge. I have a lot of energy but with that energy I also need to rest and recollect myself :) I thrive in respectful, friendly, and caring environments with open communication and honesty! It's also very important that I click well with you and can have that freedom to express myself! I will be honest, I'm terrible at cooking. I can make simple meals like spaghetti, tacos and mac n cheese but meals that are more complicated are out of my comprehension! I can prepare snacks for the kids pretty well if I have a recipe!
I am also a somewhat literal person but only when it comes to my jobs. If you tell me to do something I will do it at the time you ask and how you want. The more relaxed and comfortable I feel the more spontaneous I become because I feel I am in a safe place to be myself. I am willing to do housework but only a very light amount. I definitely don't mind helping clean up after dinner/doing dishes and tidying the kids rooms if need be! Deep cleans or constant cleaning and chores I am not comfortable with because of unpleasant past experiences in other jobs. I am totally open and flexible to discuss what you have in mind though!
I would love to meet you! If you feel we are a good match, reach out and message me! I would like to start work in February! Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Zoe
(I know there are certain visa restrictions with Americans and working as au pairs in the UK. Au pair world says I will have to get a work visa and that I am only allowed to stay for three months. If you have any more information or insights to share that would awesome! Thanks so much!)
