My name is Claire and I am a 27 year old from Melbourne, Australia. I have decided to take some time away from my busy professional career as a lawyer and move to France. I've been trying to learn the language for too long now and thought it best to just move here - so here I am :) I'm quite content to be temporarily stepping away from the law to see and experience a somewhat lighter side of life on the other side of the planet. I have a lot of patience, I am dynamic and energetic.

Im a citizen of Canada as well as Australia - thanks to my Canadian mum and Australian dad (who actually met here in France around 40 years ago). I think that having grown up travelling back and forth from Canada has given me a real zest for discovering different cultures and landscapes. All throughout my studies I have continually travelled (including international study exchange programs) and seen spectacular corners of this world. This thirst for difference has progressed through to my professional work where I also work with people of different and diverse backgrounds. These experiences have transcribed into qualities of patience, understanding and excellent communication skills. During university I worked as a sports instructor for prep aged children (aged 5-7 years) in an after school program. Prior to leaving for France I played netball at an elite level - so I am all round very sporty and have experience in teaching children the fundamentals. In my personal spare time, I am generally very active and then very quite - for example, a 20km hike or run will be followed by 10 hours of reading
