Jazel, Au Pair from the Philippines, 25, looking for a nice and accommodating host family, starting from June 2019

Dear Host Family,

My name is Jazel. I am 25 years old. I am from the Philippines. I am the eldest among my 11 siblings. Being the eldest, I had the responsibility to look after my younger brothers and sisters at a very young age. I started doing homechore when I was 10 years old. I helped my mom not only with housekeeping but also taking care of my siblings. I could give them bath, carry them a lot, telling them stories, change their diapers, helping them with their school activities and washing their clothes. Things changed a bit though when I entered college since my university is far from our hometown. I have been living away from my family since then. I only got to see them on Christmas and New Year.

Since I was young, I always dreamt of traveling the world. I have always enjoyed watching documentary films, and I am always fascinated by all the new, different and unique things I watched that I want to have a first hand experience of them. Being an au pair can help me learn about other languages and cultures and it also could help me meet other people and be a part of other families and spending time with them.

As an au pair, I pretty aware of my responsibilities, that is helping my host family with the housechores, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, washing the dishes and others. And most importantly, I have the responsibility to look after the kids. I will help my host family with all the needed child care, spending time with the kids, and it could also include getting them prepared and accompanying them to school. I love children so much and I think it's due to the fact that I grew up in such a big family.

During my free time, I want to study the country's cultures and languages. I want to meet people and make friends with them. I want to learn and share them my cultures especially that my hometown is not really well known. I hope I also get the chance to share things about my hometown.
