Experienced au pair, nanny and tutor looking for a position in a geman/english speaking country!
I come from a family of 5 people consisting of mother, step-father, and two sisters (14 and 8 years old). I speak Portuguese, English, Italian and a little German (A2), because I've been in Germany for one month, worked in Italy as private tutor and England as Au Pair of 3 kids for 7 months.
I got previous experience with children 6 months - 6 years old working as volunteer in a baby center/school where, I basically fed, bathed, put to sleep, read and sang lullabies, while with the older ones I helped the teacher. It was a little hard sometimes, because the kids usually came from really poor families and sometimes they are aggressive and things like that, so you must be patient and try to see their point. But in general I love it, specially when time to leave gets, and they still wishing to be there, then I have this feeling that I made everything right.
After high school, I was studying movies (I am crazy about cinema). I even had some short movies in one movie theatre in my city, what makes me really proud. I was a little confused about the meaning of my life, and then I went to Germany and had an awesome experience. There I started doing yoga and met some people with differents perspectives and views. Definitely the best time of my life. Although I could tell quite some very happy time I had in London, Scotland, Marocco, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain and all the places I've had adventures in (:
My hobbies are reading, singing, biking, yoga, meditation. Horse riding and playing piano are skills I would like to develop. Oh, and movies, I watch a lot of movies and I love history and philosophy, that is what I usually read about. I see myself as a positive, calm, fun and persevering person. I will always let clear what you can expect from me, I am honest.
I have no religion, just Buddhists beliefs, like the principle of reciprocity, Samadhi - develop the mind is the way to knowledge which takes us to freedom -, do not kill, do not steal, do not lie, do not indulge in sex misconduct. Basically I believe we creat the world around us, God is every living soul.
I have a perfect health. Some mild pain during my period though.
I enjoy most healthy food and like to try (please do not read I am a great cooker, but I try) vegetarian recipes but actually I am not titally vegetarian anymore.
Besides going to a language course, I am not sure about what I am going to do during my free time during week. Surely exploring the area and the people, and go to a Coffee just to watch the natives living and try some friendship with them. I want to travel a lot. Travelling is a big deal to me, if my host family also enjoys and I could join them, would be even better experience. Adventures would be a nice topic for our conversations during dinner, think I.
