Hello! My name is Dariia, I am 26 y.o. I am Russian speaking Au pair, currently staying in the USA.
I am creative, responsible, mature person, who would like find happy smiling family, with disciplined and artistic kids.
Let's get acquainted!

Dear Host Family,
You are reading a letter from a girl from the capital of a picturesque country called Ukraine. Where is our country? We are the eastern part of Europe. Our neighbours are European Poland and Eurasian Russia, we have an access to the Black sea ( in the south, across the sea, there is a big country called Turkey).

Our country is diverse. There are magnificent Carpathian mountains rising in the west, the north is rich in pine-tree forests, coal deposits hide in the heart of steppes in the east and fresh sea-breeze welcomes to the south) The central part supplies us with wheat and other valuable crops. Here, in this central part, in Poltava region, I was born. My native town is a small but very important. It is famous for its healing mineral water.

I grew up in my granddad's family house in a big family of teachers. My mother is a primary school teacher, retired. My father is a teacher, too - driving instructor. I also have an elder sister and a brother.

Being a student at school, I was keen on art, attended drama, art clubs and took up choreography at our school. But singing was the thing I adored. I was an active participant in the artistic life of our town. No wonder, that I was good at humanities at school but I also liked maths, physics, chemistry. I liked English lessons and my level of this language is Intermediate. I finished high school with good grades and decided to enter the faculty of art Pottery in our local college. It was the next step in my art life.

Driving experience:
Being a former driving instructor's daughter, I have been driving since I was 16. And I do love it. I got driving license more than 2 years ago at a driving school in Kyiv and used Volkswagen Polo, a car with automatic transmission, to learn to drive.
At home I drove a lot using our family car with manual transmission.
Living in a host family, I would like to drive a compact car with any transmission.

Childcare experience:
My mother was a good example. She had found a job and successfully worked as a nanny for a couple of years in a family. So I decided to follow her example and to work as a nanny, too. The first child I looked after was Yevgeniy, a wonderful boy. My mother's teaching experience helped me to prepare the boy to his first year at school and my education in art had its contribution to his artistic development. Then I got a job in the Laguza family. I had known the mother of Alina, the second child I looked after, for a long time and she offered me to work as a nanny and a tutor in her family.
I had to pick up Alina from school, to give her meals, check and help to do her homework. We went for a walk, whatever the weather was and, of course, did a lot of crafts. Alina liked most of all appliqué, paper and cardboard paper crafts. Alina is a top student in her class and she is still keep on hand made and I always glad to see her when I am in Myrgorod.

The third child I looked after is Nikita – my first pupil from the capital. When I fond job in Sorokin family, I decided to take part in an exchange program and then take a break at academy.
In Sorokin family my task was to tear the boy off tablet games, to show him the world in unusual light, to help to do his homework. As usual, crafts were very helpful) Nikita was good at playdough crafts and Lego. I taught him to be careful with his toys, to tidy up his uniform to clean up after having meals and doing crafts. We discussed different topics: space, the size of planets, car models and how cool they are, acted out cartoon scenes. In time of his naughtiness and laziness we managed to come to an agreement and reach a compromise. My achievement: the child considered me to be his friend.
Also I worked with talented boy Max. As Max likes do a lot of crafts, using plasticine, drawing - we spend summer time in 2017 in interesting and usuful way.
I have great multicultural experience in the Netherlands, where I'd been working 3 months in the big Dutch family. There are 3 kids - 14 y.o boy Schelto, 12 y.o girl Anne May and 7.5 y.o. boy Taco. Most of the time I cared for youngest boy, who also talanted in art, as my previous kids. Taco very likes do crafts, he does brakedance and likes to sing. It was a great time, that I spent in the Pinkster family.

Working with children, I do my best to see the world the way they do and to feel what they feel. I collaborate with parents in up-bringing saving a child's own magic world, helping him or her to integrate into the world of grown-ups with its laws and rules, rights and social as well as moral obligations. I am responsible fulfilling my tasks. Being a determined person I do my best to achieve a desired result in my work. I am persistent. All parents of the children, I looked after, have noticed that. I am a good listener, can support in case there are troubles. I will encourage or I will help to calm down.

What about our home creative workshop, it is built on the following principles 1. Help me. 2. Do according to my example. 3. Try to do it yourself. Every day we have a single main topic, starting with "Day of Meeting" and continuing to study the world on the topics: - Space, - Dinosaurs, - Modern animals (from farms, herbivores, predators, birds, marine inhabitants, pets), - Plants of our planet, -Natural phenomena, - A person and his profession, - Machineries, - Favorite heroes, - Different useful and festive crafts. Each topic is studied through video recordings, stories from encyclopedias and art books, we play themed games and by drawing, modeling, appliqués and different useful crafts, we conclude our creative day.

I am personally fond of watching documentaries covering different topics, keen on psychology, reading detective and mystical stories, watch scientific videos on Youtube. like thinking about the sense of life and the purpose of living. I adore art in all its forms and think that I am its part. You can see my own works in the photos I sent and the works we made together w
