Hello!
My name is Sara and I'm a 17 (almost 18) years old Italian girl.
I'm mature and responsible. I'm an happy person and I hardly ever get angry.
I love studying foreign languages and learning about life in other countries. These last three years I went very often to France, host by local families, to learn the language. Since primary school I study English and French, so I can speak very well. I learnt also a bit of Spanish during my freshman year, when I attended some Spanish lessons.
In my family there are my parents and my 16 years old brother. We live all togheter in Piedmont, in the north of Italy, just near France.
I'm attending the fourth year of high school. I chose the "Liceo classico esabac", where I study especially literary subjects, like Latin and Greek. "Esabac" is the fusion between "esa", that is "esame di stato" in Italian, and "bac", the "baccalaureat" in French, so I have the opportunity to get a graduation available in Italy and France. I'm very keen on studying I've got good marks at school.
I haven't got much free time, because I must study hard. My favourite hobby is reading, I love my books over than everything. At school I attend a drama club for the fourth year and I enjoy it very much. I fancy going out with my friends, but not too often. I like writing stories and I write for my school's periodical.
I also do some sport. I work out at the gym three or four times per week. I did dance for ten years and I can dance quite well. In summer I go to the seaside, where I enjoy swimming in the sea.
I want to became au pair for three main reasons. I love children, playing with them and taking care of them. The second is that I want to learn very well foreign languages for my future, because today is very important to speak a lot of languages. At least, I want to live in another country, learn different uses and become more responsable.
I'd like to go in France and Switzerland to improve my French. I think France is a beautiful nation and I love French people, because they are so wellcoming. I've never been in Switzerland.
I want to go to England because I adore the country and its beautiful landscapes. I think people are kind and friendly.
This summer I went to the USA for the first time of my life. I visited New York City and I fell in love with this amazing city. My biggest dream is to came back to America and maybe, in the future, live here.
I think that I can be a good au pair, because I'm helpful and I can learn very fast.
I have a little cousin, he's five years old and I often stay with him.
I go to catch him to school and then I took him to play in a garden or we go togheter to the café for a little snack. When the weather isn't good, we go to home, but we also have a lot of fun: in fact we draw and paint togheter, or we do other creative things. Sometimes we do role plays, like "the school", "the family", "the shops"... We also read books, or I invent stories to amuse him. I don't like that he watches too much television.
I often go to my parish to help children to do their homework. I don't get a pay to do that, but they give to me a lot of satisfaction.
Once a week I go to the oratory to play with children. Me and other guys invent a lot of funny games.
Finally in summer I usually spend a whole month in the oratory with children. In Italy we call it "estate ragazzi" and the entarteiners have an age between 14 and 18. Children always have a lot of fun. In the morning there are creative laboratories, like cooking or doing little objects (bracelets, peluches, ...). Then we eat togheter in the canteen and in the afternoon we organize games, like treasure hunt. Sometimes we go to the swimming pool, or we do bike tours. On Friday there is the special trip: we usually go to the mountain, or to the seaside, or in a aquatic park.
In two years I'm going to take my graduation. After high school, I want to go to the university, maybe in a foreign country. I'm thinking about moving to Paris or NYC. I'd like to become a doctor, I think a pediatrician. I want to live abroad and have a big family, with at least two children.
