Au pair from the United States looking to partner with a like-minded family.
Dear Family,
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I am 29 years old, and I have been a teacher for 8 years. I have 10+ years of experience with children of all ages. I am looking to partner with a family this summer to engage with children, encourage children, learn about a different culture, and to enjoy a new experience.
I work best with young children ages newborn to ten, and I would like to partner w
I grew up in a family of five and am the oldest of three children. My parents were very involved in our lives, expected us to obey, made sure we were given opportunities to succeed, and provided us with many family memories! I have always had a desire to teach and be with children. From a young age I have taken care of children of all ages.
My hobbies include reading, taking walks outside, being with friends, or enjoying my family. I live a pretty simple life, and I love it that way! I enjoy traveling and meeting new people. My life and home are organized and I do not do well in a chaotic household. However, organized chaos is where I thrive! :)
I travelled abroad a few years ago and loved every minute. I am excited to immerse myself a little more to truly meet and understand new people and to learn a different way of life. Last summer, I was an au pair in Italy and the family became my family while I was there. It was a great experience!
Also, I only speak English and no other languages. I am hoping to pick up on a new language, but do not know one now.
I have thought about being an au pair for many years now! However, the opportunity seems to never have presented itself. This summer I found myself with no plans, so I thought I would explore this option. Children are a huge part of my life, and I would enjoy being with children of another culture.
A few things I would require:
-2 consecutive days off a week
-I would like access to a car to drive, especially if you live farther away from a city.
-I also would at least like my own bedroom and bathroom. However, separate living quarters would be a plus. From my last experience, I learned how valuable my private time was while working as an au pair.
