20 year old au pair looking to work with a nice family in Canada.

Hello,
my name is Lisa , I am a 20 year old girl from Barcelona, Spain. I have a really nice and close family. That includes my two siblings (Marc, the little one, he is 17 years old and Emma, my big sister who is 22) I love spending time with them, there is nothing like it!
My father is English and my mother is Spanish but we've always lived in Spain.
When I was 11, I went to France during a school year (9 months more or less) to study English and French in a boarding bilingual school and also, I studied my A-levels in Spanish and French. So my french isn't that bad. While I was studying the two A-levels, I lived with my grandfather in Lerida, it was great to be able to spend more time with him; we took care of each other. These two years were very important for me.

I am currently studying translation in an online university in Spain called UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). Spanish as my first language (Catalan is also my first language but I don't study it), English as my second and French as my third. This university is great because I can study whenever I want/can and I can take the exams from anywhere in the world. In addition, I love what I study so it makes things a lot easier.

I am a very funny and responsible girl who can't wait for finding the perfect family and be able to take care of them as a member of it.
I am really excited to work for and with a family, being able to learn a new culture and show you mine so we can have a cultural mix.

My experience with children begins three years ago; I started to teach English to a five-year-old boy twice a week in my village. Later, I have been teacher at my sister's academy; in July, I was working in a Summer Campus teaching English and looking after them.

I have been an au pair in Melbourne, Australia during 8 months (from August 22 to April 21). I looked after a wonderful 2 year old boy (Harry) and I lived with a lovely family. After these months I have realized how much I enjoy being around children and being able to be their big sister. So, I have decided to continue as an au pair but in another family and country to be able to have new experiences.

I use to start my day at 8am from Monday to Friday. I used to take him to the beach/park depending on the weather or for a walk to see the boats (he loves them). We went back home at 11am to have lunch, I cooked it and gave it to him. After lunch, he had a 3 hour nap. While he was sleeping, I did the dishes and tidied up the living room area. He was allowed to sleep until 3pm, if he had not awoken by then, I had to wake him up. When he was up I usually changed his nappy and gave him a piece of fruit. Then, we went out again until 5pm (more or less). I usually finished at this time but I enjoyed the company so I usually stayed with them.
I also enjoyed teaching him the colors, shapes, numbers, counting, etc. I always tried to communicate with him as much as I can so he could learn faster and better.

I consider myself open-minded, I respect all people, all cultures, all customs and all opinions (even if sometimes I don't share the same thought, I do respect that people think different).
