My name is Lucas I am 23 years old,
I was born in Arapiraca- Alagoas one of the most populous cities of the state and I looking for a job with a nice family, starting from 1 September!
I am in the 5th semester of English. I have always loved the English language, I am fascinated by it, and I have always wanted to learn more and more. I also teach kids and teenagers from 06 to 17 years old. I work during the day and at night I go to college. I take swimming classes on Wednesdays after college and I go to the gym after work.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, responsible, patient, friendly and easygoing person, my family and friends say that I´m very funny and dedicated. I am a very flexible person. I also enjoy to sing and dance. I love to travel, no matter the place, I always enjoy the trip!
my experiences with kids. Last year, I started one of the best experiences of my life. I took care of a lot of kids at School. It was an incredible experience and I learned a lot. The kids in school were between 6 years old until 17 years old. There,for the small kids I used to take care of their hygiene, help them in the bathroom, play a lot with them with all funny games for exemple play hopscotch, dodgeball, soccer, cops and robbers and all of kind of games to use their energy. After all those things, I fed them and helped them take a nap. They were very energetic. I loved to wake up early and go to my work. With the teenagers, I teach basic english for them, but I try to teach them being cooperative,engaged, helpful and creative. Because I think if I only teach grammar I'd be a cheater, not a teacher. This function demands me to be very patient and responsible.
Last year, I also started teaching english in home to a five year old little girl on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I took care of a cute boy of two years old on Mondays and Wednesdays. I used to change diapers, play with him and feed him. Nowadays, he is a very independent and intelligent child. I love taking care of children, I love watching them grow and develop, they are so honest and so pure. Therefore, I want to give them all my love, I really want to make the difference in your kids lives! I want to do my best work and I will take care of your children as if they were my own.
I have learned a lot while taking care of these kids. I learned how to be responsible for them, to love them, to take care of them as if it were my own, and especially I believe I will learn and teach your kids a lot.
I've learned a lot with life, I'm very mature, I'm a fast learner and open to new things, lessons and experiences! I might not know everything but I always find a way to learn them!
I have decided to be an Male Au Pair because besides liking children I hope this experience can help me improve my English skills; working and studying in the USA would be great for my future career. I would also like to travel abroad and know more about the American way of life, about the American culture and share experiences with you. I think that it would be fascinating to get to know about another country and culture while working, studying and living there.
