I am a 29 year old spanish girl called Laura. I would like to work as an au pair this summer starting the earliest the 1st July and finishing at the latest the 31st August. I am looking for a lovely and warm family which can offer me a job taking care of their children.

Dear family,
I am a 29 year old spanish girl. I am from Ávila, a little medieval town near to Madrid. I am an English teacher for primary school but now I am waiting to take an state examn for being a civil servant as a teacher. Meanwhile I help students who need extra classes after school and I also give participative and funny English lessons in a workshop some afternoons.
I am a friendly, open-minded and honest person, although I consider myself a shy person until I know people deeply. I come from a non-conventional family. Now, I am living with my mother but I have a close relationship with my grandmother and my aunts too. I have also a sister but she doesn´t live with me, as we get along well.
I have only been in London a few years ago just for fun, to visit the city on my summer hollidays, but I have never been abroad as an au pair. Nevertheless, I have a great experience working with children because I have been working with them since I finished my degree in 2011.
I would like to work as an au pair abroad because in my opinion, it is essential for an English teacher to know this language in context in order to immerse in the culture as well as improving communicative skills. I personally think that you can teach and educate children, but you will receive the same just listening and being open to learn things from them.
