Hi, my name is Tilly, I'm a British nanny from London. I currently work for a Norwegian family in Wimbledon, London- I have been with them since August 2016- but sadly they are moving back to Norway at the end of July. Looking for a job starting in August or later.
Hello! I'm Tilly, 22 years old, British, friendly, and absolutely adore kids.
I have worked for two families- one live-out, one live-in- over the last three years. I have been with my current family since August 2016 but they are sadly moving back to their home country so I am looking for a wonderful new family to be a part of starting August 2018!
Previous to my current nanny job I worked in a primary school as an early learning teaching assistant- helping with activities, engaging the children in imaginative play, teaching my own reading group how to read, etc.- alongside a live-out morning nanny job for two boys aged 5 and 9. The children that I currently look after are 5 (girl) and 9 (boy). As a part of my primary school job I also worked in the nursery with children ages 2-5. I also worked as a one-to-one with a very sweet boy aged 7 with severe autism and brain damage- this was probably my most rewarding role whilst at the school.
I believe that creating a proper bond with the children I work with is essential to being a good nanny. I'd like any children that I care for to look at me as more of a big sister rather than an employee of the house! I can honestly say that I really do love all of the kids I take care of which makes my job all that much easier and even more enjoyable.
I'm a positive, kind person though I do have a more authoritive side as I think respect and discipline are important for a child to grasp early-on. Also though I am very happy to do both heavy and light cleaning, I think teaching the children to pick up after themselves is a valuable lesson to be taught!
I love reading, having a little dance to music (though I must admit I usually do this whilst cooking and no one is watching!), walks, drawing and surfing (however I am very new to surfing, therefore not very good at it yet!)
