Dear Family,

Hello! My name is Ellen and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am currently in my first year of University in the South of Ireland and I am studying History and Politics. I am friendly, caring and nurturing and I always work with positivity and a smile. I have always loved to experience new cultures, as well as sharing my own. This, along with my natural aptitude in caring for children are why I think becoming an au pair this summer is the perfect job for me. I fully recognize the importance of play for children and I will ensure they always have fun in my care. I come from a huge extended family and I have been looking after my little cousins for many years, the youngest being only 4 months. I am very sensible and you can put your full trust in me when looking after your children and carrying out the jobs that you have expected of me. They will be carried out to the highest of standards. I love playing the violin, going to the movies with my friends and acting as part of drama classes. I also love taking my golden Labrador, Harry on walks! He is very gentle and cute and I love him so much! I always know how to keep a situation calm in one that is unexpected and I possess a great deal of patience, something important when looking after children. I am incredibly reliable and I can assure you your children will always have fun with the activities we do and be safe when in my care.
