Nanny/au pair from The Netherlands called Zoe, 23, looking to be part of a family, has previous experience working as an au pair.
I'm looking for a family to become part of and to share a part of life with. I'm in the process of graduating from University and attaining a Bachelor in Business Administration. I'll be graduated by the end of March and flying to Christchurch on the 4th of April.
I was born and raised in a small town in the north of the Netherlands. I've played Korfball (more about this team sport later) my entire life and have always had a passion for being active and to see more of the world then just the small town I'm from. During my studies, I've been abroad to Hamburg for an internship of 6 months and to Curacao, also 6 months, add to that the year I lived in Australia, it's safe to say I'm not afraid to leave my home and enjoy a new environment.
Five years ago, when I graduated high school I didn't know what to do with my young self and went abroad to Australia, I had the best year of my life so far. I worked as an au pair for a Dutch family in Sydney and cared for two children. When I arrived in July 2012, little Sam was 18 months and Jolie 3 years old. I enjoyed (almost ;)) every second of this year and I'm very excited to have a similar experience again!
So, about korfball, it's a sport that is comparable to netball or basketball, I've been playing for the Scotland National team since 2013. Because of the international experience I've had with the sport and the fact that I've coached junior teams for a long time I've gotten in touch with the Canterbury Korfball Association and I'm going to volunteer/work for them and develop korfball in New Zealand! The job starts in March and I'm excited about this but maybe even more excited to combine this great experience with being an au pair again.
I would like to work as an au pair again because, during the four years of my study I really missed the care for children and the fun you can have with them! The unconditional love and appreciation children can give to you is really something special. Besides this, I thought I could combine being an au pair with the Korfball work. That's why I'm preferable looking for a family with children that attend school during the day, so I can work for the Korfball association during school hours and attend to the kids before/after school.
I'm flexible in working hours and days, as long as all expectations are communicated clearly, I'm okay with pretty much everything. How a work week would look like, what exact hours/days can be discussed and I'm sure we can figure something out.
