Nanny au pair from MILANO (Italy).
My name is Rossella, I am 50 (mature but very youthful), and I have worked as a journalist in music and sports for over 25 years (press + local TV & radio). I still work (since 1991) for a London based company as a music consultant, which takes a couple of hours per day, whenever I want, by using my PC.
I believe what is most important in life is human relations and that is what I am most good at.
I am reliable, empathic, very caring and sweet, but at the same time I think rules are necessary to grow and develop respect for our fellow being.
I am single, I have never been married and I don't have any kids.
If you don't find the right person for you, best being alone (which takes guts). Love is a very serious thing! Not all have the luck to cross roads with it. Sad but true.
My parents (my father is an orthopedic surgeon, my mother a housewife) -who luckily are healthy in their eighties- live some 5 km away from my flat (that I own). I visit them very often. They have a dog (a small poodle) that I love very much. Her name is Jackie: she is extremely lively, fun (and funny!), and independent.
I ADORE every dog, and I like animals in general. In fact, if I don't find any opportunities for au-paring, my other goal is to enroll for a dog-trainer school here in Italy.
As far as education is concerned, I took classical studies (Liceo Classico, involving subjects such as Latin and Ancient Greek, up to age 18), then I went to Law University for a couple of years until I had a golden chance to practice for a rock magazine to become a journalist (my greatest dream ever since I was a little girl).
Love, Music and Dogs is what I live for.
I have always wanted to live in the US (that I have visited many times: NYC, LA, Washington DC, Miami, Boston, New England...), so now that I have accomplished what I wanted in my career, I'd like to experience something new overseas: a different culture, and time with kids. I like them very much: it's a pity I've never had the chance to interact with children on a daily basis,! Those who know me they all say I have a very tender and maternal spirit.
My only (non-professional) experience is with children aged 4 to 12: my nieces who live in Singapore (I was there to help for 2 months when my sister had cancer) and many other sons and daughters of close friends that I have always helped when they needed a hand (pick up at school, playground, homework...).
Like I said before, LOVE is the center of my existence and children inspire it and deserve it.
I guess when you are a sweet, solid and very careful type of person, who has travelled the world and has lots of different experiences, you can learn fast and adjust nicely to all situations, especially when it's down to creating a relationships with kids.
