Hi, everybody! My name is Kate. I'm from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Currently, I'm in the final year of my degree ( linguistics, bacherol, Spbstu). I will graduate at July, 2018. I spent 1 Erasmus semester at the University of Alicante, Spain. I absolutley adore the climate, the culture, people around me, just positive atmosphere and great quality of food. That's why I would like to come back and try myself as an au pair! I don't mind to have an au pair experience at any country where English, Ge
There are several reasons why I would like to work as an au pair:
1. That's a great opportunity for me to live with a family, to understand the culture and the language better ( since I am planning to connect my future with translation).
2. I genuinely love kids. I love the idea of giving my care, my experience, my time, as I believe kids can teach us so much as well.
3. As I've alredy mentioned, I really love Spain. For now, that's the easiest and the best way to come back for a several months or even a year.
I speak English fluently, but still there is a long way to go with my Spanish.
Should I say what I expect from my au pair family?
I don't need a separate room, bathroom ( that's totally optional).I certainly need a 1-2 days off during a week (no matter what day it is - Monday or Friday). I don't mind a few free hours at the evening or at the morning ( but, again, that's totally optional). If I have to attend Spanish courses to get my visa, then there must be an option for me to be there. If I have the other way to get my visa, then I am not really interested in doing "classroom Spanish studying". I am definitely prefer real life experience and natural language practice. I am ready to do any house duties, shopping, whatever is helpful for the family.
