IDear future Host Family,
My name is Anna and I live in Katowice - city located in the southern part of Poland. Katowice has 300.000 inhabitants and it is a very nice city.
I live together with my mom, dad and sister. My mom-Kasia, is a manager in a big company. She is hard-working, ambitious and friendly. I can talk to her about everything. She is not only my mother but also my best friend. My dad-Maciek, works in a town hall. He is very open minded, organised and positive. We undestand each other perfectly because we have the same sense of humor and taste in music. My parents make a perfect marriage. My sister who is 3 years older, attends to university and is a babysitter as well. She is now studying the second year of pedagogics. I have always looked up to her and wanted to be like her. She is very supporting and helpful. Apart from my parents and my sister, I live with one dog-Foszek, and two cats-Harry and Neville. I really love each one of them and think our house without them would be very empty.
I consider myself as an ambitious person. I always try my best to get what I want and I never give up. I'm a perfectionist, everything I do must be as good as possible. At first I may seem shy but I open really quickly. I am very patient and calm which I think are good features for a babysitter. I love to smile and I do this all the time! I try to stay optimistic no matter what. I am also very responsible and punctual. I always remember about important things, I do all of my chores very precisely and I'm never late. I hate arguing because I think it is better to solve a problem by talking. I think it is also worth to mention that I have driving license and I love driving!
I go to the 3rd (and last) grade of High School. I've always been a good student and have always had good marks, such as 4 and 5 (in Poland 1 is the lowest and 6 is the best mark). My favourite subjects are English, German, Polish and social studies.
In September 2016 I started tutoring English. I've had 5 students from 7-15 years old. It was the time I realised that I love spending time with children and teaching them something. They are creative and learn really fast! I still tutor some of them and it is my favourite part of the week.
This summer (July 2017) I started to babysit. I looked after two girls-Ala and Nikola. I picked them up everyday and we went to the playground, to get some ice-cream and play soccer or any other sport they wanted. I loved seeing them smiling and when they were telling me they love me. My heart melted. I knew I have to leave as an AuPair.
Recently I started babysitting a boy-Nataniel who is 7, and a girl-Sara who is 11. They are siblings and I love playing board games and drawing with them. We also talk and read a lot. We have a very good relationship even though they are quite shy.
Besides spending time with kids, my hobbies are travelling, watching movies, learning languages, cooking and spending time with my friends. I have always travelled around Europe a lot with my family and I've taken part in many exchanges (to Sweden, Germany and England).
My favourite movie is 'Forrest Gump' and 'Wild'. I appreciate movies that make me think about life and thanks to which I have motivation to work hard. I really love English language, I've been learning it for almost 15 years. 5 years ago I started learning German and I really like it too. In the future I'd like to speak at least 3 foreign languages. Everyone says I'm a good cook and I have to say that I enjoy cooking, especially for my friends and family. When I'm your aupair, I will cook a lot of great Polish cuisine for you :)
Of course I love spending time with my friends, go to the cinema together, go shopping or simply hang out at home with a cup of coffee.
According to my household duties, I never wriggle out of helping my mom or dad. I always clean the bathroom, do the vacuuming, load and unload the dishwasher, take my dog for a walk and prepare a meal for my famiy.
I'd like to become an aupair because I will gain a new, great experience, I wll become more independent, meet new people and get to know the best family in the world :)! It also has always been my dream to visit the United States and explore its culture. I want to be an aupair and I'm highly convinced I'm ready for it. I do believe that my stay with your family will be valuable for all of us. I will be doing my best to meet your expectations as an aupair.
Why should I become your au pair? I am responsible, reliable and affectionate. I have a big heart for children. I am a cheerful, hard-working, helpful and sociable girl. I love new experiences and I easily adapt to new environment.
