My name is Johanna. I will soon turn 23 years old and I'm a Swedish resident. I've just finished off uni at Stockholm's university where I studied Early Childhood Education, and will now move back to Melbourne, Australia. I am hoping to find a fun and outgoing family to connect with, and to become the "Big sister" in the family. I can start mid February and stay within 3-12 months, what ever you need. Thank you!
I moved to Australia in October 2017 when I wrote my final uni thesis for my Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education, at an Australian preschool based on “Children's Participation”. I have work experience from both an Australian preschool and Swedish preschools. I also became an aunt to my sisters son about 5 months ago, which means that I'm a real pro when it comes to change diapers! In college I also studied a program focusing on Early Childhood, and that's what made my interest in children grow and therefor I decided to continue studying Early Childhood at uni. In total I have 6,5 years of education based on children and I can't wait to use it and get going.
First I was planning to start working at a preschool right after uni finished since that's what “I'm suppose to do”. But then I came to the understanding that I'm 23 years old and I have my whole life in front of me, so why start something right away that I probably will end up doing for the rest of my life anyway? Even though au pair/nanny is not that different compared to working at a preschool, I just felt like the experience of being an au pair will be something I'll carry with me forever. I'm also a crazy family person and since I'll be away from my Swedish one, why not get an Australian one?
I am now on my way back to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. If you have any questions what so ever, please let me know.
Much love,
Johanna
