Nanny/au pair/babysitter/tutor called Claire, 35, looking for a part time job to fit around study timetable. I am studying in Etampes, Il-de-France and will also consider roles in Paris, depending on travel time.
Hi I'm Claire! I'm 35 years old and I'm from Australia. I'm currently living in France studying on weekdays at a theatre school in Etampes. I am available mornings or evenings, however if evenings the earliest I can be available is 5pm in Etampes or 6pm in Paris.
I come from a big family of 7 children of which I am the oldest. I grew up helping my Mum take care of the little ones! I was a part-time nanny for 2 gorgeous little girls (aged 17 months and 3yrs when I began the position) for 2 years. My duties included sole care of the two girls one day per week, including play activities at home, taking them to swimming and ballet lessons, outings to the park, zoo and beach, preparation of their meals and bathtime/bedtime and some basic housework/tidying. During that time I also looked after some other families on a more casual basis for boys and girls aged 8 months, 18 months, 5 years and 8 years.
Following that I worked for various families through a nannying agency in Australia. My most recent position was for a work colleague who asked me if I could help to care for her 10 year old son who has autism.
My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) and an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting). I have a Working with Children check (Australian) and have completed first aid training for working in childcare.
Since I was young family and friends trusted me to look after the children because they knew I was good with them and that I'd keep a close eye on them. I'm comfortable with babies and toddlers as well as older children. I've also worked as an English teacher for school-aged children while I was living in Spain (teaching them English as a second language) and as a drama teacher for ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People). I enjoy being around children, I love their energy and spirit and feel like they teach you something new everyday.
