Italian Au pair from France looking for a job with a nice family starting from now!!!

Dear hostfamily,

first of all, I would like to thank you for reading my letter and spending time on getting to know me better. We never met – so I hope the following lines will give you an impression about me, my life in France and why I would like to spend a year in your country.

My name is Houda, I am 28 years old. My friends describe me as an open-minded, funny, spontaneous and serious person. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do, I am an optimistic person and I'm always making the most out of every situation.

I'm living alone and I have 2 brothers and one sister. I am the third one after my big brother then I used to look after my sister and brother when they was little when my parents are working. In spite of everything, I love all my little family so much. I have a really good relationship with my parents. My father works a lot, but I'll always be his “little” girl. My mother also has a lot of work to do. I try to help her whenever I can. Helping in the kitchen and with the laundry, as well as babysitting and tidying up my room are thing I always had to do. Both of my parents raised me to be a serious, loving, honest and responsible person with an own opinion. In fact, I love them all so much and you cannot put us all together in a room without having a really funny, good time.

My family and I, we live in Strasbourg a small town close to The German border. It's awesome, I spend a lot of my free time there, going to the movies, shopping or just hanging out with some of my friends. I don't really have one best friend, but I have many very good friends. They listen to me and try to help, when I have troubles and we laugh a lot. I can count on them.

I love sport. I started playing volleyball few years ago and since I started university I don't have so much time then I just use to go jogging whenever there is time for it.

My favorite subjects in school are Foreign languages that's why I love them and I have a bachelor degree on French and Arabic that I obtain in Italy where I grow up. I love also art, law and politics. I like to know as much as possible about the world around me.

Probably you will ask yourself why I want to be an exchange student. I think it's a great opportunity to meet new people, getting to know the different way of life, improve my English and make new experiences. It's not that I don't like my life here in France, in contrary, I will miss my family and my friends for sure. But I know that the experiences of one year with you will be more than worth leaving my normal home. I am so excited about the stay and I hope I‘ll be able to show you something about the French and Italian way of life. As I love cooking I could also cook Italian and Moroccan meals for you because, yes, I was born in Morocco.

I am looking forward to get to know you an Iam so thankful that you consider hosting me for one year or the time you wish.

So I hope I will hear from you and even more to be a part of your family,

Yours,

Houda
